Nigerian rapper, Sauce Kid sentenced to two years in prison for stealing over $15,000 using stolen credit card numbers

Nigerian rapper, Babalola Falemi, popularly known as Sauce Kid was sentenced this week to two years in federal prison for stealing $15,388 using stolen credit card numbers in Boise and Meridian, Idaho Stateman News reported on June 23. See previous report here

According to the charge, Sauce Kid obtained stolen bank card numbers and identifying information from their owners. He then encoded the account numbers onto blank plastic cards.

After using an automated system to change account PINs, he was able to withdraw cash from bank ATMS and buy merchandise from stores between July 23 and 26 2016/

All of the losses took place at Boise ATMs owned by Idaho Central Credit Union and at Albertsons stores in Meridian, court documents alleged.

Police arrested Sauce Kid at the Boise Airport as he was about to board a flight. He was caught with a card encoding device and more than $6,000 in cash.

Sauce Kid was initially charged with conspiracy to commit bank fraud, eight counts each of bank fraud, aggravated identity theft, and possession of 15 or more fraudulent bank cards.

  6. dammy krane should start panicking or praying right now. because he has the same charges as sauce kid so he is likely to get a similar sentence.

it would take a miracle for him to be let off the hook considering that he defrauded a big company.

  9. Daddy Code, you're the only one bringing hate here. This tars the reputation of Nigerians as a whole abroad, not just one tribe. Fucking bastard.

  14. This is why I keep saying that crime is crime and not peculiar to any tribe, gender nor color. If this Sauce Kid (but like, how would an adult still wanna be addressed as Kid) were to be an Igbo person, this blog would've been flooded with hate comments against Igbos. And they will even generalize it. Let's all avoid any criminal act. Whoever you are, wherever you maybe, build a positive image for yourself, for Nigeria and for the world. The corrupt Nigerian political elites are our common enemies and not the individual criminals, because they've stolen our lives. And this the reason some Nigerians engage in crimes because their opportunities were stolen by the corrupt politicians ( please, I'm not trying to justify crime of any sort, neither criminals, rather the reason why we must all unite together against all these criminal corrupt politicians). When most Nigerians travel out, they don't want to come back to Nigeria again, and they will lie alot to at least remain in their host countries. CAVEAT (I'm not writing for the BShari government because they're not fighting corruption, but witchunting their political enemies, and you cannot fight corruption with corruption)

  17. Lmao... And it is even more comical that almost everyone one of you who are insulting themselves are actually the ones who pull the tribe card... lol, if any of you had dissected that comment well, you would have seen the sarcasm. My point is evil is not a tribal thing, but I guess you aren't the most civilized after all. Unable to acknowledge a comment without insult, smh.. Most respectful indeed.

  21. I am yoruba but Daddy code is right in a way. I just think he put his message across wrongly. We all have our flaws as human beings. Igbos are known for drug carrying, yorubas for internet fraud. None of these are good things, we shouldn't be proud to argue about who does what better. We should be ashamed of it. And @DaddyCode, no we won't die for hate of igbos. We have better fish to fry my brother. Who igbo epp?
