Breaking: Buhari travels to London tonight for Indefinite medical check up

President Buhari is on his way to London tonight for another medical check up and the duration will be determined by doctors. Below is a statement from Femi Adesina, special adviser to the president on media and publicity...
President Muhammadu Buhari proceeds to London tonight for follow-up medical consultation with his doctors. He had planned to leave Sunday afternoon, but decided to tarry a bit, due to the arrival of 82 Chibok girls who arrived Abuja earlier in the day.
The President wishes to assure all Nigerians that there is no cause for worry. He is very grateful for the prayers and good wishes of the people, and hopes they would continue to pray for the peace and unity of the nation. The length of the President's stay in London will be determined by the doctors. Government will continue to function normally under the able leadership of the Vice President. President Buhari has transmitted letters about the trip to the Senate and the House of Representatives, in compliance with Section 145 (1) of the 1999 Constitution.

  24. You Buhari that sought the impeachment of Umaru Musa Yar'dua in a THIS DAY publication in 2010 stating that he wants too sick and weak to lead ... life is two facets, a knife has both sharp and opposite side, the earth has both day and night. I judge you not, I pray for your wellbeing. But learn your lesson. You and everyone who think the world revolves around them, talking down at others. The painful path could be your end just as it's someone's beginning. Pray to be among the latter.

I know how it hurts not to have a job or loose one but abusing buhari or Linda in some cases will not solve the problem. Please, my beloved people let's step back a bit and spend part of the time we use to vent to pray and also contribute our own quota to governance in our corners.

And yet he claims to be wise.

    1. Catherine what are you on about. He is president, his job comes with s dick care package, like most other jobs should. He will get better by God's grace. He does not have to leave his job because he is sick. That is discrimination. If he wants to resign that would be his personal decision. That is proper procedures. If you fall ill, will you want your bosses to get rid of you after all the years you have put in?

  66. Only God will help this country. How can we be so blind to reason? How and why have the youths lost it? We cannot seem to reason anything out but blindly abuse people forgetting the issues and the fact that the said person is stated a fact? It is unfortunate that Buhari is ill. Illness can come upon anyone at anytime. However, he is meant to be the president of a country so, if his illness is stopping him from performing his duties, he should resign and take care of himself - no sentiments attached!!! Where in this world have one seen the president of a country going abroad for treatment and saying he would be away indefinitely. How can you leave the country you are meant to head saying you are going for medical treatment and say you have no idea when you would be able to come back yet want to hold on to power as the president? WHERE IS THIS DONE? Buhari knows this is wrong. I mean, he was the same person that took to the newspapers and said Yaradua should resign and face his health and not hold the whole country to ransome!!! There are no good hospitals in this country and our president who is suppose to allocate money for hospitals is spending millions of tax payers money to treat himself abroad yet, these same tax payers do not have access to proper medical care. I do not wish him ill nor do i curse him for being ill as it can happen to anyone but, it is high-time our leaders and youths realise that no one individual is more important than the whole nation. Buhari should stop holding the whole country to ransom. He should resign and take care of himself. The wahala of this country is enough to make a once healthy person sick how much more an elderly person. His official age is 74 but i can assure you that this man is closer to 80 if not older. He should take care of himself and enjoy this stage of his life. Youths, let's forget about individuals and party affiliation and tell ourselves the truth. Can any any worker - be it in the public or private sector be so sick for an extended period and say you would not let go of the job? Can you tell your office "i am ill and want to go to the hospital but do not know when i would resume my job" and expect the company to hold the job for you indefinitely?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Yes , if you are really ill, as long as you have doctors note and sick cert, your company is obliged to hold your job for up to one year and in some other cases more. After one year it would be without pay... So what are you on about? Does anyone ask to become ill? Have you ever asked to fall seriously ill?
So you would be happy if you are ill and sacked? He has done the right thing by handing over to his deputy who is extremely capable, so where is the problem there? Also we know he had a blood transfusion at some point. That tells us the serous was of his illness but whatever it is, it is treatable and curable therefore the doctors will see to it that he is well and release him in due course

      Delete
  67. Oh Allah! The Sustainer of Mankind!

This is our leader, we love him and he loves us. He has been sick, Remove his illness and cure the disease. You are the One Who cures, There is no cure except Your cure. Grant him a cure that leaves no illness. Give him health and wisdom to bring peace unity and progress to my dear country Nigeria.

    May PMB Succeed.
