Photos: Former Delta state governor, James Ibori bags Chieftaincy title
Convicted former Delta state governor, James Ibori, was today conferred with a chieftancy title, the “Ezi-Oyi Anioma” by the people of Anioma kingdom in the state.
The conferment ceremony took place at his home in Oghara. More photos after the cut.
Oh my south south people smh...always celebrating the people that draw them backward more reason that region will never grow for good till they chose to receive sense. What a shame tweh!
Am very sure you r one of those folks claiming Lagos state. By d way, Northerners celebrate theirs, Obasanjo was also celebrated in the west. U just bin an unreasonable critic
It's only in Nigeria that ex-convicts and criminals will be " honoured" with chieftaincy title. Tell me how can Nigeria ever become better. Tueeh I spit on that title.
This certainly can only happen in a society that lacks every sense of dignity and morality like Nigeria. See the shameless attendees sitting shamelessly celebrating criminality. Gosh...this nation is finished.
I'm surprised that they want to confer on him a chieftaincy, and yet had to go to his place to perform same. To me that's a big slight on Anioma people, a whole senatorial zone. Even the Obi of Agbor was also there, a man revered and respected by every government in Nigeria
Ibori is nothing but a big thief, a criminal and a killer. Linda, I would have preferred you use something that is worst than a CONVICT'S. Someone that detest development in his own state, are been celebrated by hungry stricken traditional leaders. piece of shit. IBORI, you are worst than thief, miscreant and robber. Linda abeg, make you post this one oooo
This Man is now the Governor of Delta State. He is runnig the State from his House in Oghara. His DAUGHTER is gradually in Transit to become the next Deputy Governor of the State
With this new title- more money will be stolen by younger and up coming generation s. Oil producing state that can't afford to pay salaries to her workers.
What a shame! Celebrating thieves. This attitude does not potrays us as a sensible people in the world. Our elders should stop this mess. it is an eyesore.
In Nigeria if you steal yam mob attack on you but steal €£¥ or $ millions of dollars my brother people will celebrate you. With this backward ever forward never. Pray for naija.
Is he the only one that has stolen money in Nigeria? Please give me a break. Oh! He was the only one that was tried and jailed by the British government. Name one leader in Nigeria that did not steal money while in office.
