Photos: Corps member dies of heart failure in Sokoto

Anthony Ochai pictured above, a corps member serving in Sokoto state has died.

According to the state NYSC Coordinator, Musa Abubakar, Anthony who is from Benue state, died shortly after playing a match with his fellow corps members.

'' The late corps member was serving at the Government Secondary School, Tsamaye, Sabon-Birni Local Government in the state. The deceased was resting after a football match between the various batches of the scheme, suddenly he just collapsed and died.  His remains were brought to the Usmanu Danfodiyo University Teaching Hospital, Sokoto and it was  confirmed that he died of heart failure.”

Abubakar added that the deceased would be buried at his hometown in Ugbokolo village, in Ukopo local government of Benue state today.

  7. I think this spate of youth corp members deaths in recent times is becoming worrisome. Something should be done urgently cos It's beginning to look like there is more to it than d ordinary eye can see. God have mercy.

  8. It is quite unfortunate and that is why it is good to learn how to do CPR on people that fainted because if the people around him had started giving him CPR immediately, he would have still being alive today
