Photos: Corp member killed by suspected cultists in Delta State, laid to rest

National Youth Service Corps member, Toritseju Lodge, who was shot dead last Monday, in Oghara, has been laid to rest.
Late Lodge, until his tragic death was serving in Imo State but returned to Oghara,  Delta State for the last Easter celebration. He was reportedly with friends when masked gunmen arrived and shot him dead.

According to a family source, while his parents lived in Sapele,  he rented an apartment in Oghara. So when he returned for the Easter celebration, he chose to stay there.
"He was standing outside that night with a teenager at about 11p.m, checking his phone when the gunmen suddenly emerged and shot him thrice" the source disclosed.
"They took his mobile phone, removed the SIM and took memory cards before destroying the phone and disappearing into the night." he added.

  8. I stay in Oghara and must say it's supposed to be a developing town however, the activities that happen there are very unfortunate. The town is gravely known as a habitat for crime and violence. The kidnapping, killings and robbery here is highly professional that they make criminals in American movies look like amateurs. They steal in broad day light o. There's even a saying that Oghara thieves are those who go with screw drivers to people's houses, that is they take their time, will loosen your TV screen before you're back from work. One of my friends was kidnapped by 12pm around a square, another story a total of 8 generators were stolen from eight different houses same compounds in broad daylight on a Sunday! When people had gone to church. You dare not still be out by 5pm in that town. The culprits NEVER get caught...Terrible bunch of people. So sorry to the lad and his family..... May God comfort them.
