North Korea attempts to launch missile but fails

North Korea tried to fire a missile it introduced few hours ago at a military parade - but the launch was an embarrassing failure after the weapon failed and blew up almost immediately. The missile which is supposed to be one of the country's new 'game-changer' intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBM) which was revealed to the world in a display of military might during the country's parade and celebration of the country's creation yesterday.

The South Korean defence ministry said it had detected a failed launch from Sinpo - where North Korea's biggest submarine base is located.

According to a military official the weapon is 'presumed to be a new ICBM' as it is longer than the existing KN-08 or KN-14 missiles.

North Korea launched this missile for the first time earlier this month, firing it from a land base near Sinpo, home to a known North Korean submarine base. The missile did not appear to go very far, but still, analysts described the development as “scary” because of the solid-fuel component.
The information of the failed missile launch didn't come from North Korean Govt, it came from  the South Korean defence ministry which released a statement.
The statement read:
'North Korea attempted to test an unidentified type of missile from Sinpo area in the South Hamkyong Province this morning, but we suspect the launch has failed.'
North Korea has launched 5 missile launches that are mobile ICBMs that can reach as far as the United States and yesterday's failed launch would have been the 6th one.

  7. U.S. and all the other hypocritical western nations are not the only ones that can or should possess these sophisticated weapons. ...therefore they should leave north Korea alone. If they don't want North Korea to possess these powerful weapons, they should also destroy all the ones they have. They think every country is as naive as Nigerians?

    1. You don't know there are rules guiding ownership of such weapons.

    2. @OkaforIfeanyi the same rules made by the same countries that poasess these weapons and don't want other countries to have them. I believe in fairness. If you dont want other countries to have these weapons, then dismantle yours too so that you're not a threar to those who don't have them. If you won't dismantle your own weapons, then don't blame other nations that want to have theirs to defend themselves in case you decide to attack them.....simple as that.

  8. If they've gotten this far,then they're already there.
But can we learn from them? This people are developing themselves with limited help or support from the outside world. But we that are attached to every country in the world, how has that impacted on us? We all have our potentials for success or failure in us. Aside from corruption, tribalism is our albatross. And tribalism is the oga, the motivator and father of Nigeria's corruption. My believe is that, if we can wrestle tribalism out of Nigeria, then political corruption, bad leadership, administrative and financial corruption will definitely reduce by nothing less than eighty percent (80%)

  11. At the end of the day, North Korea has embarrased themselves, is it this kind of failure [Get a bigger penis here] that they think would help them win a war against USA, South Korea and China.

  12. I believe it was done intentionally in order not to look like a coward. Trump positioning a naval battle group on sea by d Korean peninsula with a clear warning dat he will attack North Korea if d sixth missile test is carried out did d trick. Within d past week Trump attacked Isis in Afghanistan with d moab, ordered d firing of several missiles at a Syrian Airbase dispite Syria enjoying Russian backing & finally positioned his naval assets within striking range. A message too strong to ignore was sent with d above activities. D North Korean leader knew Trump would actually order an attack on him & his key facilities, hence I believe d failed attempt was intentional. Very smart move from both parties; importantly, it's a great thing dat Kim has come to terms with d fact dat Trump is very serious & wouldn't hesitate to take decisions & act on them immediately.

  15. While this may be true, Trump need to apply some level of decorum in dealing with sensitive issues, else others would soon unite against him & power would change hands. - O.I.O.
