A vigil in Baker's memory was held on Friday evening under the rainbow flag in San Francisco's United Nations Plaza. The banner could be seen flying half-staff from the balcony of Mayor Ed Lee who said:
"Gilbert was a trailblazer for LGBT rights, a powerful artist and a true friend to all who knew him. Our thoughts are with his friends and family. He will be missed".Baker was born in Chanute, Kansas, and joined the US Army as a medic. He arrived in San Francisco in 1970 to work at an orthopedic hospital where Vietnam veterans underwent skin grafts and amputations. After his honorable discharge from the military, he stayed in San Francisco and immersed himself in the gay and lesbian community.
May his soul rest in peace

God is not in a haste. Finally he is going to answer his maker as well. I wish the dead could speak so that he would tell his followers what he's seeing where he's now.

DeleteSeriously shut the fuck up. What have you ever created, how many lives have you saved? Who will celebrate your meaningless existence? What is your contribution to human existence apart from eating, chatting shit, sleeping and dedicating?

ReplyDeleteThere is a God in heaven whether any one chooses to believe it or not. He created this world we live in, every living creature and Man kind. He also set the NATURAL order. He has a manual for life called the Bible and has made it clear He is against homosexuality and has provided a platform for a relationship with Him by believing in His son Jesus Christ, who died to give us His righteousness and bring us into oneness with God. Friends don't let another man's belief take you into eternal damnation.

ReplyDeleteA very big lesson for the living . We should not allow people to deceive us especially when they want to satisfy their sinful desire . There's God, there's heaven and hell and everyone will face judgment on the last day so let's be mindful what we do.
ReplyDeleteok
ReplyDelete-D great anonymous now as Vivian Reginalds
Life is like the sea throw nothing bad into it and say to your self it will never be seen. Who told you it will never be seen?, have you not thought of what if and just what if the sea dries up. Will everything not be seen if the sea dries?. Be careful how you live because God is what. People may celebrate you while alive or whilst dead.but what is God's opinion about you in the end. Say no to satanism and all it's related activities
