Photos: Woman who drowned after car plunged into Lagos Lagoon was pregnant- NEMA

According to NEMA South West, the woman identified as one Chinagorom Adibe Fustine , who drowned after a skidded off the the road and plunged into Mekwe river, Bonny Camp, Lagos, was pregnant. 

The silver colour Kia Rio car with registration  number Lagos MUS 38 BL plunged into the river with the driver, who identified himself as Felix Aniele swimming out of the river bank. The dead body has been deposited at the Mainland Hospital Mortuary. Lagos State Emergency Management Agency conducted the recovery operations in conjunction with NEMA, FRSC, Nigerian Police Force, LAWSA, and LASAMBUS.

    1. Linda it's not about u advertising how many response unit Lagos state have. It's about how quick or rapid d response is. Am sure d woman didn't die instantly.

  4. How did this happen with only the driver swimming out alive? It's not a bridge that permits speed,so how come he swerved into the river & left her to die? He should be questioned.was it deliberate (humans can be terrible in wickedness) OR was he sleeping while driving? Can't fathom how a car can suddenly plunge into that sea.

  8. Am sure the driver was not happy with the woman, otherwise he could have saved her since he can swim very well. The matter need to be investigated thoroughly..

  15. Conclusion should not be made without any hear from d driver. He was stop by the police so due to fear he speed off nd landed him into river he drove out pleading for help from d guys around but due wicked nd corruption heart of Nigeria they asked for settlement first.
