Maje Ayida suing Toke Makinwa is the only logical step - Mixed reactions trail news of impending lawsuit over 'On Becoming'

Social media is currently on fire with the news of Maje Ayida's lawyers writing Toke Makinwa to stop selling copies of her best selling book 'On-Becoming'.' Nether Toke nor Maje have issued any official statement but the fans are talking. While some agree with Maje's move, others feel Toke Makinwa has the right to tell her story...see more tweets after the cut..

    I support him completely. Toke had no right to reveal intimate details if their marital life.if all separated couples do so, there will be chaos. To me she is just an attention seeker and it's time she is stopped

    Toke knew this was coming to her. For me that book was her story but not maje story so maje now is telling his own story by taking her to court. I support maje 109% cos naija is used to having things done dia own way cos of curruptiin n all. If in western world u don't damage smone reputation for ur own self interest. There r consequences to it n her lawyers didn't advise her well. Ours is tosit n eat popcorn n enjoy d show.afterall it's called show business.

It made Toke look like a sore loser who is deeply hurt that a man left her for who he truely loves. You can force a horse to the stream, but you can't force it to drink water. Once or twice in everybody's life we've experienced disappointments, heart breaks etc. All you do is dust yourself, raise your head up and move on, greater days are yet to come. But writing a book and making a whole issue out of a relationship that you knew that was ill-fated Is just being mischievous. Well let her face the legal charges. Nigerians can only talk and rant on social media as usual, but it amounts to nothing.

I'm sure Toke is not that stingie or angry anymore. Your wickedness made her a successful woman. You are very inspiring. Take pride in that. Drop the useless charges and settle out of court. Also help promote the sales so you can get a percentage. Afterall it's your story too. You know you did much worse than she revealed. This book was gentle on you.
