The return of Ex Delta governor, James Ibori, who released from a UK prison in December 2016 is causing ripples online.
Ibori arrived Nigeria from the United Kingdom a few hours ago and he's already a trending topic on Nigerian social media.
While some applaud and congratulate him, others are calling for his re-arrest by EFCC.

This ex-con escaped from the country while there was a nation-wide manhunt for him. How he is able to walk past immigration at the Abuja Nnamdi Azikiwe International airport and was neither detained for questioning or arrested beats me.And now, we are going to watch painfully, as he is celebrated as a returning hero and kingmaker. What examples or lessons are we setting by this, especially to our younger generation?
ReplyDeleteNo wonder Nigeria continues to "attract" criminals from all over the world", from those Canadian sisters to fake-product specialists from China to that Indian Ponzi Fraudster Guy, we might as well capitalize on it.
ReplyDeleteGive tax breaks to Criminals to store their money here (The west already do that through tax havens though they generalize and say it's "secret account".)
We would target Criminals from all over the world and provide a safe place to hide their loot right here in Nigeria (Politicians may probably steal the stolen funds like they have done with Abacha and Alamieyeseiya's loot so that might not work o!)
He ought to stand trial in Nigeria, but this is Nigeria, and anything is possible.
ReplyDeleteThis is one of the men that wrecked the Niger-delta, his people were satisfied getting peanuts from him instead of major infrastructures.

James Ibori you see your life?? After looting Delta State money to almost ground zero. You empower thugs that kills for u,handed over power to your brother to cover u up. I laugh in Urhobo language.
ReplyDeleteThose of you shouting he is a thief, he is a that are sure not from delta state. If not you won't say trash. He is the best governor so far since 1999. He turned delta state around for the better. All the projects the former and current governor ever commissioned were his. Roads, health care, good hospital etc. Show me a governor in Nigeria that did not temper with public funds in Nigeria. If buhari is tempering with public funds, yet life Is good for us, we won't be in this malnourished state that Nigeria is right now.
ReplyDeleteIbori is a criminal period.
ReplyDeletePls free dis man, cos we av many of them walking on street, why Niger delta ex governor,
ReplyDeleteWho is comparing James Ibori with pablo escober..They two different criminals one stolen from his soil without not helping his people and the second one is a drug cartel To Help his people with the drug money and at the end caused chaos to his country..So what do they have in common
ReplyDeleteHmmmmm

Lord Jesus help us oooooo!!!!! are we okay in this country? some people are actually happy he's back, realignment my foot! so he will have a say in the politics of Niger Delta ah lmao this is laughable, yet we want our youths to read at school? is this the example we are showing them? Our brains need realignment!!!

ReplyDeleteNeed 2 go n rewatch the Hit series 'NARCOS' especially the season 2, while still dying 4 the season 3 to hit the Biģ Screen.
Those Niger Delta idiots will always get what they deserve as long as they continue to honour criminals like Edwin Clark n Co who are deeply complicit in plundering the region.
I dey laugh (in Obj's voice).
