Because Christianity is not a violent religion and we don't retaliate they go away with all the shenanigans. LORD BREAK THE COUNTRY ALREADY IF IT IS YOUR WILL ! Wetin? We don tire !

  9. This video is not a recent video, it was at a service more than 2 years ago in reaction to Boko Haram killings and attack on churches and the tactical support the northern leaders were given to them.

    2. Why are people condeming what he said? Is it a sin to ask God to break Nigeria? Are you people not tired of the way muslims are killing christians? Is it not better for the country to divide into two so that muslims can stay in the North while christians stay in the South since they cannot tolerate each other's religion? The pastor just said the bitter truth because he is scared for the lives of christians. So let's stop the hypocrisy please!

  19. That video is a 2015 message during a church service. The words were in response to Boko Haram's attack on churches. It was before the current administration even won the election. I would have sent you the official response of the church but i don't have your contact. I believe you are balanced in your reporting so you need the other side of the story. He didn't pray that the country should break, he said If it is the will of God and not his own will. Linda look for another news item please. Thank you.

  30. Exactly d kind of prayer we christians in this country should be praying henceforth. What nonsense!!

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH from all these islamic demons. God bless you sir.

Buhari is really a total mess to this country, not just economically, but religiously too.

His govt is shrouded with too many anti-people polices being strategically implemented to distabilize this country.

  31. Great prayer point! He said if it is God's will to break up Nigeria! Only the will of God can be done and no one can stop the will of God! Stop this propaganda, his prayer point is totally in line!!!

  36. Christians can just be foolish (I'm a Christian, by the way). Why will God take delight in the disintegration of Nigeria? Or any country for that matter? Please do your research well. Show me the country that has broken up in recent history without some parties fighting a war or something more sinister happening. Nigerians, be careful what you ask. Learn from other countries' mistakes.

  45. What did Linda say that is bad here? She's even using her own opportunity as a blogger to remind us to pray for our peace in this country or pray similar prayer to God to Break Nigeria if it's His will so we could li9e peaceably. She's not criticising the Bishop. She's using HIS backing and spiritual power to remind us Christians in Nigeria to pray oooooo.

  46. Freeze or what he calls himself is very Stupid. What is wrong with the Prayer. Stupid Man. I affirm, joining my Faith with that of Bishop Oyedepo today oh Lord, If it is your will to breakup Nigeria, for Peace to reign, for our People to Go, for hatred to Stop, for Terror to Stop, for Killings to Stop, for Kidnapping to Stop, Lord start it Today in Jesus Name - Amen

  47. I commend the Bishop for not keeping quiet on this one. I feel really sad that Christians are being killed everyday in the north. However prayers alone is not sufficient. The Nigerian churches are quite rich, they have a lifestyle that makes pastors abroad look like paupers. Yet the pastors abroad are more into charitable works and rather than build mansions, they put in all their funds in making a difference in other people's lives. Bishop Oyedepo is extremely rich , pastor Chris Okotie, Chris Oyakhilome and so many others. Why are the churches in Nigeria so divided? It only takes someone who has a heart of sympathy to start building structures in Lagos, Ibadan or any other southern states and call on those Christians in the North to relocate to alternative properties provided for them in the South. This pastors are worshipped in Nigeria, all they need is to come together , call on other Christians who are willing to contribute to this cause and you will be amaze how much will be achieved. Dear brothers and sisters, when you go to church , you need to think really deeply, when the Isralite where oppressed by the Egyptians, what happened? Did Moses spend all his life praying and asking for the death of Pharoah? No? God took them out of Egypt to their own promised land. What if that promised land can also be recreated in Nigeria, is it possible? Yes it is. Why isn't it happening? Your pastors are too self centred and will rather make you buy their books and tapes to keep enriching themselves and use your money to maintain their private jets and expensive schools. Take a look at the Chinese and Asians, do they know God as much as you all claim to know him? No they don't, but even when they worship Budha, they go out work hard and invest and contribute their societies. Yet you all spend all your lives in church, fail to help your parents and those in need and keep giving to this churches who do little or nothing for charity. I pray that the hell fire God has prepared for all those pastors who do nothing while Christians are being slaughtered in the North will be hotter than the hell fire kept for those who do not even know God because they had no opportunity or not brought up in the Christian faith.

  48. Following up on my comment on the pastors not helping, Linda Ikeji please if you know anybody who has a charity and is committed to helping the Christians in the North, can you kindly let us know. Those of us in diaspora are willing to contribute to help this Christians out. It may not be millions but every little thing can help. God bless you.

  49. "The reporter(s), either being completely unprofessional, lazy or simply wicked, made the 2015 message look like a 2017 church service message. The trending video is NOT a 2016 or 2017 video.

“To this end, we can unequivocally and authoritatively say that this quote, the report and other similar reports do not fit the context of the Kaduna crisis or any developments whatsoever in the last one year.

“The reports are, therefore, fake, unbelievably and maliciously fabricated and outright lies. They are tweaked, baseless and fraudulent.

“Bishop Oyedepo has not said, either in private or public, anything related to the Southern Kaduna killings; not now, not hitherto.

“If there has been anything done, it has been prayer for peace and unity of Nigeria. The intent of the original author(s) or fabricators is best known to them.”

  50. @ Annonymous, calling the reporter lazy and wicked. So is it right for the Christian leaders to keep quiet on the Kaduna crisis. Even if this video is an old one , does that now justify all you pastors going on with your services and events as if nothing is happening in the north. God is watching you all, keep going on with your services, one day the blood of the helpless and innocent will cry out.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Is it until the killings get to your doorstep that you will cry for help, it will be very late.
It's better we cry out now and take actions to end the killings of Christians in this country because this is getting too much
