Photos: Thugs storm Imo state High Court, abscond with man facing trial

Some thugs this morning stormed the Imo state High Court and forcefully took away one Henry Chibueze aka Vampire, who is standing trial. The Armed men stormed the court during proceedings and began to shoot sporadically into the air. 
 
According to eyewitnesses, the court had no security officer on ground to engage the armed thugs. Lawyer and judicial workers absconded, taking refuge under the tables and in their offices. Police men are now in search of the accused man and his accomplices. See more photos after the cut...

    Quite unfortunate, a whole court isn't well secured, yet DSS are active to arrest Apostle, policemen are effectively collecting bribe and harassing innocent citizens. #smh

    This is beyond embarrassment for the high court and state government. How can hoodlums storm into court during proceedings and abscond with a criminal master-mind? Where does that happen except in the Banana Republic of Naija? Meanwhile, whatever happened to allocated security funds? Clearly, Naijas are on their own when it comes to safeguarding lives and properties from these criminal elements bcos there is absent any state protection. NMTA
