Justice Lateefat Okunnu of the Lagos High Court Ikeja, on Thursday sentenced Walter Wagbatsoma and Adaoha Ugo-Nnadi, owners of Ontario Oil and Gas company, to 10 years in prison for subsidy fraud. Reacting via IG this morning, Jude Okoye said:
"Please name one top govt official that was arrested prosecuted and sent to jail in Nigeria? Just one........None. And we have been hearing how much loots recovered? From who? Breeze abi ghost? If this woman was in govt, she'd definitely be home sipping tea as I type this. The EFCC over the years have made so many arrests of a gov officials with no single conviction....why? Abi our judiciary no dey active? Or them dey free the culprits after getting #bankalert? The system is so fucked ...... VERY FUCKED. Una goodmorning o"

  3. Jude Okoye is foolish.

He that comes to equity, must come with clean hands.

Does his statement make stealing right?

The woman has been convicted of stealing, let her go to prison to serve as deterrent to others.

Those that are stealing in governments too will face their waterloo one day. The Badeh, Amosu, etc that are being prosecuted were once in power

Peter Okoye or whatever your name is.why dont you stick to your stock in trade..which i remember is singing and dancing.but just to enlighten your ignorance, she used fake documents to dupe the government.and if you dont know, government money is our money..including mine and yours..and everyone else's.so you and other musicians should face your hustle and leave the serious business of governance.your contributions are so amateurish and empty...just like your music. My name is Cnes.

  16. If no one is sent to jail you will complain, when one is sent to jail you will still come out and spew ignorant shit. The court sends people to jail after they are found guilty. Commend them for getting this one right and encourage them to do more. Or shut the ef up.

  29. You people in Nigeria are so used to corruption and criminality. If they try to prosecute corrupt leaders you say it is political. They don't prosecute you are now complaining. To have a future you must have accountability, but Nigerians don't want that...

    1. My thought too. Some of us are just confused. If govt. prosecute, we'll complain, if they don't, wahala. What do we even want.

  30. Mr. Okoye, so shameful you join the bandwagon whose line of reasoning follow suite with you. Did the woman really committed the crime or not? in your own opinion, let corruption be the fashion of the day. let us join hand to kick out corruption. if it were your hit songs this woman pirate and this govt send her to jail would you have comment in manner you just did. If APC lost 2019 election let the govt of that day jailed anyone find guilty in this current govt.
