The widower lost his whole family and their househelp in a fatal accident while returning from Pilgrimage at Holy Land, Olo, Enugu State on September 16th this year. He survived the accident but was left with a broken leg.
The househelp has since been buried at Ihiala which is her hometown. The state governor, Willie Obiano who was represented at the funeral by the Head of Service, Prince Harry Uduh, described the loss as a painful one.
In his message to the bereaved man, Governor Obiano said:
"What can you tell a man that lost his wife and four children? It is a very painful loss. I believe in my heart that there is nothing God cannot do. He will surely give the family the fortitude to bear the loss."He added that his family and indeed the entire state was mourning with him.
In her Condolence message, the Wife of the governor, Ebelechukwu Obiano, told the bereaved man to “take heart and be strong in faith because God in His infinite mercy kept you alive for a good purpose.”
May God not allow this type of tragedy to befall any one of us again o
