Suspected thieves escape being lynched to death in Imo

These men pictured above, escaped being lynched to death after they were allegedly caught stealing motorcycles at Alaojii Aba branch Ehime Mbano LGA.

Facebook user, Kingsley M Chukwu, who shared the photos online, said it took the intervention of the local government area of the area to rescue the thieves.

He wrote:
It took the timely intervention of Hon Chike Orjiako for these half-dead alleged thieves to escape the fiery furnace at Alaojii Aba branch Ehime Mbano LGA after the efforts of the police proved abortive.
The alleged machine thieves were chased by commercial motorcyclists from Oriagu market and nature caught up with them at Aba branch. The thieves were brutally beaten to coma and about to be set ablaze when the police arrived. The mob threatened to attack and burn their vehicle. However, when their efforts were aborted by the brazenly angry mob, the police withdrew.
When the information got to the T.C chairman of Ehime Mbano, he forthwith moved to the venue. It was only by God's grace that he was able to talk to the war-ready youths and they stayed action. When he needed support to evacuate the victims out of the location before the youth changed their mind, the police were no where to be found because they didn't want to risk going there again.

However, the prompt call put across to the commissioner of police by Hon Chike was the only thing that brought the police back.

Meanwhile, the victims were assumed dead until revived by a doctor, they are presently recuperating pending when the wrath of the law will be unleashed on them.

This is what the DPO Ehime Mbano had to say after the bizarre: " HON CHAIRMAN, I AM VERY GRATEFUL TO YOU FOR YOUR PROMPT AND KIND ASSISTANCE IN RESCUING THOSE TWO BOYS AND YOUR QUICK RESPONSE TO THE DOCTOR WHICH LED TO THEIR ADMISSION AND TREATMENT. I REMAIN GRATEFUL TO YOU THANKS"

What touched me most was how the younger victim whose mother was said to be in the hospital was yelling at the elderly one. " see what you have caused me, I was foolish to be beguiled by you, look at where I have landed chai". He was saying that while some sympathizers who knew him not were crying.

Please youths youth know that no matter the level of economic recession, a crime still remains a crime.

JUNGLE JUSTICE...

How does the international community look at it? They see it as madness, in underdevelopment. That's why they say that a black man also has a black mind. Could that be true?

The menace of jungle Justice is worrisome. In some places when alarm is raised, no body will be patient to ascertain the true nature of the story, before you mention Jack Robinson, beating has commenced. Past stories revealed how people witch-hunted their assumed enemies by raising against them, before the true story emerged, they were far beaten.

Inasmuch as I don't support theft, it's important we look at the supreme judgement given by Jesus when a mob brought a woman caught in adultery, by the law of Moses, they were asked to kill in such occasion but Christ changed it. He told them that anyone who is without sin should throw the first stone. LESSON: All have sinned. When you kill under any guise, you are putting your generation under a curse. The soldiers and the police are justifiable by the law only if they are clean. The bible says a judge must first of all judge himself.

That's why it is more grievously injurious when a judge commits a crime by turning back to do what they in one time or the other sent people to hail for. He that most come to the judgement table must come clean.

  11. Nigerians!!!! why don't they burn politicians and other people in power when they here they stole an amount of money a million and in other cases a billion times more than what these thieves they are quick to burn on the streets these days steal. Not like i am supporting what these street thieves do but we Nigerians have to stop being bias. I think there is a saying "what is good for the sheep is good for the goat". if they are not ready to burn all the thieves in this country including the politicians and other corrupt people in power they should not burn any at all
