Exclusive pics: Lady dies after rescuers cut off her legs trapped under a trailer following horrific accident

This extremely sad incident happened this morning at Mile 2 junction Lagos. A lady's legs were crushed when a container fell on her as she was about boarding a bike on the road. According to a LIB eye witness, the bike man managed to escape but the lady tripped while trying to run, and the container fell on her legs. People came to her rescue and when they couldn't figure out how to take the very heavy container off her, they decided to cut off her legs with a cutlass. The lady died as she was being rushed to the hospital. Up close of the horrific scene of incident after the cut...

    8. I don't think the people who cut off her legs meant any harm... From what I heard from the video someone said she had been there for over an hour... If she was left she would have bled out. The problem was sadly not having what ever would have been needed to take the container off her... Plus I read was is survived and was at the intensive care unit in luth as at the time of the original post by Linda. I don't know what the situation is now months after... Just saw this and wish I can reach out to her... Its a painful experience and I sincerely hope the improvised option saved her life.. Hopefully after a sad and horrid incident of this such the government would be sensitised to preventing a reoccurrence. I think truck should be restricted to moving around cities before 10pm and after 6am like it is done in china....

  5. Was it right for the crowd to have taken the decision to cut her leg? Shouldn't they call the emergency units? Possibly, something could have been done to get the container off asap, or they could have cut her legs in a way she wouldn't lose her life.

  11. The Bike man went unhurt abi? That's why when you are a passenger to a Bike man, you need to be in control over his riding. They can drive one into trouble and escape unhurt. shout at him if he drives close to a danger.. 31. The lady may probably die as a result of serious blood loss arising from that babaric amputation. The container perhaps fell be cause of bad road and recklessness the driver. All road users are encouraged to avoid over taking or stay side by side with any lorry carrying container in a galop or bad spot on a road. With little title the container can fall on any object or person. May God give the family the strength and fortitude to bear the loss

  37. Aah, Monica! So we will never get to see you again.... If you had known you would not return, you wouldn't have left home for work on that fateful day. But no one knows when death would come knocking on one's door. Now, you have left us. May the Almighty God grant you eternal rest, and grant Blessing, Happiness, Chibuzor, and Whine, the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss. Amen! GABRIEL of FANCY HOUSE.

  39. I Really appreciate the fact that Nigeria is truly advancing in times of infromation. But the big question is, from where and from who do we get these infromation. Can a car fall on once legs without bruses, what then happen if a 2 in 1 container falls on once's legs?.i was there when it all happened. I and my Friend came down from our crv and sore with our eyes that her two legs have been crushed and one of the leg already detashed completely as she swing himself at interval due to excessive pain and shork to the brain the few Nigeria who were willing to help save her life could not because there was still a little flesh attachesed to the container someone among the people help seperate the lady by cuting the Small flesh that held her to the container. It was the only thing a Nigerian who truly wanted to help did and among the crowd were law enforcement officers not 1 not 2 that was present
and the only thing we could do to help was to look for a rope and bind the wound so that she donts die as a result of blood shortage because she had been lying there for quit some time and her blood flooded the ground the police officers desided to take her to the hospital so that she could receive treatment possibly she may survive because she had lost lots of from before those who could not bear whaching her die intervained.
