Call to remove Oyegun is selfish- CELT

The Concerned Edo Leaders of Thought, CELT, yesterday described denounced the call for the removal of the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Chief John Odigie Oyegun, insisting that it would resist any attempt to force the former Permanent Secretary out of office.
The group declared that those calling for his resignation were doing so didn't have the interest of the country at heart adding that the APC national chairman has been diligent in his performance for the party.
In a statement signed by the President of the group, Col Paul Ogbebor (rtd), described the allegation that Chief Oyegun compromised the Ondo governorship primaries of the APC as false.
He said:
"They cannot force the chairman out of office through amorphous organizations who are peddling lies. “Nigerians are aware that no one can be blamed for the current problems besetting the APC and indeed the nation’s economy. To do otherwise is an attempt to give a dog a bad name in order to hang it."
Adding that those agitating for the removal of Odigie-Oyegun over the Ondo primaries should have explored the constitution of the party “and not through the papers just to tarnish the image of a man who has worked so hard to keep the party together.

  1. Has APC seen how Trump is working? Forming his cabinate, laying out his policies? He will hit the ground running while in 2 years Buhari and APC are still smelling their fingers

  3. Must yoruba people be everywhere? What does Tinubu want again? Edo people are not moved by threats. Fighting Oyegun is a fight against the people of Edo State. Oyegun is a calm and humble man and should not be taken for granted. Oyegun remains the national chairman otherwise there will be war. Be warned!!!
