There was a serious fire incident at Yaba Market, Lagos early today. Fire
razed down shops in a general open complex and a lot of traders were
affected. The Fire service, LASEMA and police are currently present
there. Watch a video taken at the scene this morning, after the cut...

ReplyDeleteThere is a saying that if you don't know how to communicate with a deaf mute to sleep with you, you use the hand signal to convey your intentions. This year alone, I have lost count of the number of markets burned down in lagos. If you add that number to the ones officially destroyed by the government, then you the Igbos will get the message. The first salvo was fired by governor Babatunde Fashola who organised a nocturnal deportation of Easterners to the Onitsha head bridge. When you didn't get the message, Oba Rilwan Akiolu threatened to soak your arse in the atlantic, "whosai" Ambode the new governor whom you voted into power started by deploying earth movers to level your markets with goods worth billions of Naira yet you continue to move around new venues like people who have no home land of their own. Now it is operation fire every quarter in all the markets in Lagos. Ndi Igbo ha ji ogwu jide unu na Lagos? Unu achoghi iji ihe mere na oge mbu muru ako. Sad as it may seem, I definitely will not shade a tear for you any longer.
ReplyDeleteLagos State government, keep burning the shops, if you want to evict them, you should do the needful not this,I go miss my customer oo,and that plaza I dey go do select and pay for shoes. ..This is really unfair
ReplyDeleteThese are delibrate acts. Why these series of market burning in Lagos? Its only a fool who doesnt know he has overstayed his welcome. Infact this is just the beginning of the devilish plan designed for a people. "We cant match their economic prowess so lets burn their shops and bring them to our level". This is an act in futility because he who Yahweh has blessed no one can curse. In 1971 no igbo man has more than 20 pounds. Its time you start looking for a shed before the downpour begins.
