Ogun State police arrest three for armed robbery and kidnapping.

The Ogun State police command has arrested three suspected armed robbers and kidnappers named Abibu, Kamorudeen and Olalekan (surnames withheld), believed to have been terrorising residents of Ijebu-Ode and Sagamu respectively. The state's spokesperson, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad operatives at Ipoji area of Sagamu, were able to have arrested the suspects due to information given to them by the residents. Meanwhile, two pump action riffles, one double barrel gun, one English barrel gun and single barrel guns have been recovered from the suspects.

The Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu, however directed the officers that the suspects should be investigated with the view to apprehend other possible members of the gang.
