No Jupiter on earth can stop us from getting federal resources to rebuild Borno as long as Buhari is President -Shettima

Borno state governor, Hon. Kashim Shettima, yesterday said no Jupiter on earth will stop his government from getting Federal resources to rebuild Borno state as long as President Buhari is still on sit. Shettima said this when he hosted the UNHCR Representative to Nigeria and Ecowas Angèle Dikongué-Atangana and her team who were in the state for an official engagement.

"We have resolved to take our destiny in to our own hands. We have started rebuilding Bama, Gwoza and we will soon move to Damasak because if there is a will, there is always a way. The sooner we reconstruct homes and villages for our people to go back and restore their dignity, the better for all of us. As I am talking to you now, destructions worth $5.9B were detected in Borno alone and Borno state accounts for 90% of refugees or IDPs in this country. Honestly, it is not that we have enough resources but with the little we have, we will made sure that it is judiciously utilized and believed me, as long as Muhammadu Buhari is the President of this country, no Jupiter on this earth can stop us from getting access to federal resources to redevelop our communities. There are some mischief mongers in Borno and other parts of the country who do not want Borno to get back on its fit. They were given retention that Maiduguri will be over ruined by the Boko Haram and we are going to be ruined out in Maiduguri but Maiduguri is here and Maiduguri will stand"he said

    1. Useless Shettima! What have you done with the IDP relief materials and food given to your state? You stole them. Now you want to steal FGN money? What was in your state before Boko Haram? What infrastructure did you have? You are a lunatic! The day Buhari gives you that money, Nigeria may cease to exist! In sane countries, a criminal like you would have stood trial at The Hague.

God will truly purnish you. You remind me of that self indulgent man called Suleiman Abubakar!

  15. I'm wondering the kind of infrastructure that's in Borno state that's worth $5.9B I'm seeing this to be an avenue for money to be looted. Corruption continua.

  16. Linda it is extremely disgusting for one to visit your blog and unwarranted adverts keep popping up and disrupting one's view. The most irritating is this you tube video. It is so untidy and makes the blog look disorganized. It is not nice at all. Stop popping your adverts in people's faces.

  19. Even if the whole world donate money to rebuld that area they will destroy it again with their extremism.
As long as de Almajiris exists there is no safety for that region. When you educate people they see life differently. They think before they act. Boko Haram is a byproduct of decades of neglect of education. The question is what infrastructure was in that region before the menace of these killers.

  26. Chicky comment. I really blame the so-called Niger Delta people who appear undecided and keep dragging their feet on the issue of joining Biafra to stand together and fight their common enemy. The horrible lesson of the choice you made by siding the Hausa to fight your brothers doesn't appear to have registered. Make the wrong choice again and it will be total wipe out of your men while your women and land will be taken over. As for Biafra, no jupiter on earth can stop us from restoring it and getting our freedom as long as Chukwu Okike Abiama is on the throne

  27. "getting federal resources to rebuild Borno"
Federal resources that are sourced majorly from richer states like Lagos and Kano
Basically the governor is trying to say that as long as Buhari is president, His state can basically leech of the federal government at the expense of Hardworking states, shameful

  28. A lot of good money was pumped into the Chad Basin Development Commission basically to lift Borno State and environ out poverty, but what do have to show for the huge investment in that area. Absolutely nothing. The mother of all Corruption perpetrated by sons and daughters of Borno only plead poverty as the cause of Boko-haram. If the funds invested in the Chad Basin had been invested elsewhere, such a place would be an El-darado today. Shame on you people that continue to keep your citizens in poverty in order to hold unto power by any means. Soon the day of recogning will come and there will be no hiding place.
