Inspector killed as gunmen attack police station, cart-away weapons in Ekiti

A police inspector was killed ‎while the police armory was raided after about 40 armed men raided Ido-Ekiti Divisional Police Station in Ido/Osi Local Government Area of Ekiti state yesterday October 14th.

The gunmen stormed the police station at about ‎7pm and started shooting sporadically. The attackers used dynamite to blow open some of the stations safe. Police sources say the armed men came for the armory as that was their first point of call during the attack.


The police has also ruled out possibility of the armed men coming to release a high profiled detainee as no one was in the police cell as at the time of the attack.

      The next place that the herdsmen will attack will be government house. Fayose should thread softly and leave these Fulani herdsmen alone. These are men that are not afraid to die. A word is enough for the wise!

      Fulani herdsmen must always revenge. Revenge is theie way of life. First, Fayose passed a bill against herdsmen. Secondly, he jailed an 18 year old under-aged teenage herds-boy for 2 years in prison. Then, he arrested a cow and killed it and you expect the blood thirsty herdsmen to keep quiet? Fayose should tread softly

    Shuo! 40 gun men? Are we sure this number wasn't hyped? Is the police station a bank? I'm sure a group of hooligans must have been targeting the police men there cos of too much extortion and corruption. I am sorry for the dead but I think that num was inflated.
