You need to know! Blueprint Pink walkathon Cancer Campaign goes live on October 1st, brought to you by Heritage Bank

Wear pink and help us give cancer the boot at the 2016 as Heritage Bank powers the Blueprint "Pinkwalkathon" on Saturday, October  1st at Karis School Magodo GRA phase 2

Registration begins at 7.00am (free T-shirts would be giving out during the registration on a first come first serve basis) and walk begins at 7:30am. Free screening, Tons of prizes to be won through the Raffle draw.

 

@infosbm is the official photography company covering the event with state of the art photography and video equipments

@fae envelopes would be giving out free envelopes to participants

@dewiaoption would be giving out some unique giveaways and discounts vouchers for all participants.

Grab your friends , your pink outfits, and Join the fight against breast cancer and help raise awareness this October by participating in the Pink Walkathon to help spread the word about the importance of mammograms and early detection.

The Route

Beginning at Karis School No 5 Emmanuel Keshi Magodo GRA phase 2 Lagos State.
Through Magodo GRA a route loved by all the local walking enthusiasts.

The 5km route allows the walkers to experience the most of the spectacular views of Magodo and brings you up some steep hills  before meandering down back to the finish point which is venue where you started.

Start time

From 7.00am we will begin with the motivational warm up, under the expert leadership of O.J from Showshakers Dance Academy on the lawns of the Karis School.
Showshakers Dance Academy will ensure that we are all properly warmed up with some light exercises and stretches.

Terrain

The course takes place entirely on safe and serine roads of Magodo GRA phase 2

Duration

The expected time to complete the 5km walk will be about 1hours and will suit walkers with an average level of fitness. There will be plenty of water stops along the route

Equipment

Suitable footwear is recommended, so leave the stilettos at home (or put them in your bag for dancing later!)

The finish line

The walk will finish back at the Karis School.

On arrival you will be offered some refreshments - including Smoothies and cocktails with entertainment for all the family.

Health Talk.

Doctors from St Ives Hospital would talk about Cancer at the Karis Hall and would administer and teach the screening for Self Examination .

Networking, Fun and Games would commence after the talk to end the event.
