Photo: Fake female beggar who uses her son to beg for alms arrested in Lagos

40 year old fake female street beggar, Mrs Chinagoro Uwenke who uses her son to beg for alms have been arrested by operatives of Lagos State Environmental and Special Offences Unit (Task Force) at Oshodi.

Speaking to newsmen after her arrest, the Chairman of the Task Force, Olayinka Egbeyemi, said Chinagoro after she was interrogated, said she bandaged her son’s leg with two rolls of white bandage and poured GV blue ink on the leg every day in order to deceive members of the public to give alms to him.

Uwenke who resides at Oloko-danna near Ijora-Olopa area at Oyingbo said she stopped her son schooling at Oworebiri Secondary School at Ata Town in Abia State for street begging when she realized that beggar was a lucrative business where she made N3,500 to N5,000 on daily basis.
“I brought my son, Sunny Uwenke, 11 years old to Lagos five years ago to beg for arms while the remaining five children are at Ata Town in Abia State with their father” She said
The chairman of the taskforce says she would be immediately charged to court.

    4. This is laziness. Why cant she sell things even if it is pure water? So those people working and giving you money are fools abi? Monkey dey work bamboo dey chop. In fact, Lagos state govt should ban beggers and destitutes from the streets of Lagos just like they were banned in Abuja. They are giving Lagos an ugly look.

If a well fed bitch like this will swallow up her pride an beg without shame is that not the reason why terrorist buhari must resign huh?

  17. Is the money gotten not for her children's education? Why is the boy not going to school. This fight against deception by the police force should start with government. Nigeria- a country where only the poor gets punished.
