Photos: The state of the only functioning school in Chibok, Borno state

Journalist Femi Owolabi shared this update. Few days ago, he revealed that students have finally returned to school in Chibok town (Read here) The school is however not in a good condition. According to him, these photos show the state of the Junior Day Secondary School - the only school currently functioning in Chibok.

The school which has been neglected for years, serves as a primary (morning) and secondary (afternoon) school for the children attending.

In a related development, he however noted that Government Girls' Secondary School, where more than 200 girls were abducted in 2014 by Boko Haram, is now under construction and is being handled by the Nigerian Army Engineer.
