Is this dress too short for a wedding?

The friend of a wedding guest took to Facebook to detail her pal's agony at a wedding and all over a dress.. (the one pictured above) She wrote:
"She says she got treated rudely by other women at the wedding who saw her as a target for wearing this dress. A woman came up behind her and slapped her on the bum and said it was on a dare from a group of other women who were watching and snickering.
"Someone else seemingly purposely spilt a beer on her. "She's amazed that grown women could be so immature and such bullies. "But wait. She wants to know - did she bring ANY of this on herself by wearing this dress to a wedding?"

Some commenters think she stole the couple's shine while others think the dress would have been appropriate anywhere else but not a wedding. Thoughts?

  6. There are different dresses meant for different occasions. Just like you won't wear dresses meant for the nightclubs to religious gatherings. To a wedding, this is inappropriate. Its more like taking that undue attention away from the couple who are celebrating their big day.

  22. In as much as I do not approve of all she went through in the hands of those people, Linda, what do you think of the dress?

Why do we portray ourselves as objects for sexual gratification all in the name of fashion trends? An American illiterate wears something revealing and instead of the literate ones to correct them, they follow their path.

Is beauty defined by how much flesh is revealed? The fact that something is widely accepted doesn't make it right. If we continue like this, who will teach the next generation?

Please forget what people would say and act right.. Some people don't even put on underwears again and their culture is still what some of us desire the most.

  36. There is nothing wrong with the dress if we are in American but we are in Nigeria in which our culture has lots to do with our dressing, that is to say it's not a proper dressing to wear to a wedding ceremony which is also not a nite club or evening party.
