Yvonne Jegede reveals how a beauty pageant organizer wanted her & other judges to crown his candidate

Actress Yvonne Jegede revealed how a beauty pageant organizer wanted her (Cheif Judge) and some Judges of the pageant which took place in Delta State yesterday, to cheat other contestants by picking his own personal candidate. She and the others personally decided to stand their ground by crowning who they felt deserved it more. This angered the organizer identified as IK and he has now refused to pay for her hotel bills and buy her return ticket back to Lagos as promised. See her post regarding the issue after the cut.

  8. But you were paid to come, you and your fellow judges should never have tried it.. You dont know what it means to organize a pageant in Nigeria, Maybe the girl must have been the one that paid for everything, they find it very hard to get sponsors in nigeria,

Or maybe you think the international Pageants you hear, are not doing the same..

i hope your Judge Activism takes you somewhere..

remember that it is a personal business, and what your paid for is what you should have done,i owner if it were you, you'd be happy..

if you cant comply you leave.. What you did honestly its unfair...

  22. @ Kunta, Ghana isn't better. I remember the contest Yvonne Okoro's sister should have won, why didn't she win? Her mother is Ghanian, she was born and bred in Ghana but because her father is Igbo though he has settled in Ghana for ages, some biased humans said she wasn't Ghanian enough even though she only has Ghanian passport. 23. Why did you agree to hop on a plane with a one-way ticket? The least you could have done is ensure you have your return ticket and confirm that your room is fully paid for or that the Hotel clearly understands who is picking up the bill... Ndo sha

  24. Next time the organizers should have been straight forward with their plans while inviting anyone. Anyways it's still part of the corruption at every level we are talking about. When our politicians do it it's a problem but when we do it, it's fine. Just means all other contestants just wasted their time and energy in making sure they are the best candidates. Nigeria won't change until we individuals change. We'll keep circling around the same problem(s).
