On Wednesday the hashtag 'HeterosexualPrideDay' started trending on Twitter after a twitter user began the hashtag to purposely evoke a negative reaction from the public, considering the recent tragic events in Orlando where a gay shooter killed 49 people. Some Twitter users have taken up the hashtag seriously, criticizing members of the LGBT (lesbian, gay, bi-sexual and transgender) community for starting the topic while many are mocking the trending topic saying that LGBT Pride started in the 1970s to combat discrimination against gay people, while no such discrimination against heterosexual (straight) people exist. More tweets after the cut....

ReplyDeleteY? Gays do pride days because they've been discriminated all along,so they pick a day or days to celebrate the lgbt's progres in this fight for equality.. Imagine if white people start #whitelivesmatter too? Smh! Soo many dumbness online, online that's supposed to get them educated
ReplyDeleteOnyx pls repent and change your ways for the Lords patience with proud sinners shall tarry no more. Jesus loves you still but you have to denounce your homosexual lifestyle. May God bless you.

ReplyDeleteIt is everyday i pride myself in being a man who loves only women. It's never been illegal and my right cannot be undermined by those who are not. Every day is my day!
ReplyDeleteIt's like an Englishman asking me in England why there was 'Black History Month' and no 'White History Month.' I said it was because every month, every day, white people were preeminent while black people were marginalized, their history and humanity denied. Every day in the world is heterosexual pride day. Gays are suppressed, insulted, persecuted, crushed. Gays need the affirmation of a 'Gay Pride Day.' Straight people can't know what hell being gay can be, even in countries which no longer criminalize it. We need the shout, the proclamation, the flaunting, the celebration, to strengthen us in being true to our nature.
ReplyDeleteStraight people need to take several seats! No one is here for your bullshit!
ReplyDeleteLol oyibo no go kill us
