Kano governor meets with the husband of woman killed over alleged blasphemy

Kano state governor, Umar Ganduje have met with Pastor Mike Agbahime, the husband of the Igbo woman, Bridget Patience, a deeper life member, who was beaten to death for alleged blasphemy in Kofar Wambai market in Kano on Thursday June 2nd.

He met the husband of the deceased in company of the President of the Christian Association of Nigeria CAN (Kano Chapter) & leader of the Igbos of Kano.

The governor condemned the act in its totality and condoled the husband stressing that
“the killing of his 74 year old wife is illegal, unjustifiable and she is without fault”. He announced that a prime suspect identified as Alhaji Daudu has been arrested.

    3. He will be arrested, if arrested at all, and released through the back door. Who are you fooling?

The truth is those mobs are doing the will of their god. So they don't see anything wrong with that. They may come out in public to say nonsense, but they are in full support.

Until killers in the name of god or anything else are brought to book, this kinds of thing will happen again and again.

    8. On the day of judgement, you will repeat it. You just called your God a dog because Allah is an Arabic word for God. So I wonder, whether the God you serve is a dog.

    12. Dear Anonymous,
I strongly agree that the teachings of Allah thru his prophets in the ancient Arabs day have been greatly misconstrued and misrepresented in this modern world. That said, I think those misrepresenting and intentionally confusing the Islamic ideas shud be criticized not the Allah himself.
It's just like calling our GOD Almighty such names cos a pastor raped a toddler.
Let's guard out utterances. 'nough said

  6. This is the reason why people see muslims as bad people. The only problem we have here is northerners can be extremely stupid. They keep infusing their culture into the religion. Naturally, they are heartless people. Am a muslim, yoruba and have been in the north all my life and I can tell you its what they can do. However, this are the illiterates, a civilized malo wont even get in a fight with you. I hope someday they will begin to reason. RIP to the dead, I know heaven is your abode

Don't just tell us rubbish because we knew he must be arrested but you should immediately tell us what punishment he deserves& when to execute it so I will send an unbiased witness. 18. That governor is happy within him... he vowed to do all within his power to make sure a man who blasphem against Mohammed is brought to book some weeks ago. Why is he now trying to make us believe he sympathize with the family of a woman who had been put to death for the Mohammed issue.
This Muslims should grow up...let God fight for himself

All the current Eastern Governors have turned deafmute to every assault on their people even at the verge of complete extermination of their people they have become dumb.Hypocrites are what all of you are.Oby Ezekwesili is there campagning and singing to whole world about the Chibok girls but says nothing about the daily killings of her people.Papa and Mama Agbahime what are you still doing Kano probably at the ages of 80 and 74? Don't you have a village ?

  32. These pple clearly do not want to live with u,so why do they refuse us going our way. Its obvious they r evil and hate to see any body other than them selves. The government of kano state should prove to us that they r not in support of this madness by making the culprits pay for this dastardly act.

  33. These atrocities will come to an end when all Igbos in the North return back home. Leave North and come home. I say all Igbo people living in northern part of Nigeria should come back home. No amount of meeting will bring back the life of that woman. How many muslims have been killed for all the atrocities they are committing in this country. Igbos in the North come back to your father's land. Worse things will happen to you there in Northern Nigeria. Come back home when your are still alive than to be killed like a goat.

We should stop this religious war and killing in Nigeria now. These people won't carry out this law if their leaders warn then that is bad. I can't count how many people have been killed in the northern part of nigeria because of Islamic religion, must you kill to make ur point? They should be educated Abeg and the time starts now. When u keep pushing people and they don't have where to go, they will turn and fight back with all they have got.
Pls leaders of these world let's stop this blood baths, what will happen if we leave in peace and harmony?
