The elderly woman pictured has allegedly been abandoned on
the road, for over two weeks in Iyana Ipaja, Lagos State. According to
the twitter user who shared the pictures, her children were the ones who
left her there. People around somehow managed to get their numbers to call them to pick her up but they allegedly refused to come.
Relevant authorities should kindly find a way to help the woman

I'm afraid her devilish family may take her to an early grave if they come for her,so it's advisable the authorities take her to a good old peoples' home where she will be properly taken care of,there're a handful of them in Lagos here. #Sic

If they don't pick her up and take care of her, their children will do worse to them, she's even really old and can't fend for herself, how person go born children come still dey suffer? I have a soft spot for old people so this is very annoying, no matter the circumstances, they should at least keep her in a room in one of their houses and cater to her.

ReplyDeleteI posted the pictures on twitter, we tried calling 767 but they told us they are coming but all to no avail...I called the woman's children numbers that a good samaritan went to get from Lagos Island where the old woman said she is from, they kept on picking their calls and saying they are coming even till around after 8 this night.Thank God for market men and women who has been of help to her,feeding and drugs..She's dying #kaygee_ife24
ReplyDeleteThanks Linda for posting...I posted the pictures on twitter.The woman is dying, we tried calling 767, they did not come, her children were picking up their calls and they kept on saying they were coming.Thanks to market men and women who have been feeding her, It was even one of them that went to Lagos Island where the old woman said she is from to get the numbers of her children. I left there around after 8 and nothing has been done.
