Court stops Abia Chief Justice and others from swearing-in Uche Ogah as Governor (Photos)

Following a court order, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) today issued a Certificate of Return to Mr Uche Ogah, who came second at the last Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship primaries in Abia State. On the account of allegedly using fake tax returns during the primaries, Justice Okon Abang had stated that the incumbent governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu was never qualified to run in the PDP primaries as a governorship candidate. He nullified Ikpeazu's election and ordered INEC to issue a certificate of return to Ogah. However, the state government on it's facebook page, Abia Online, published this court injunction secured by the state Gov, Okezie Ikpeazu preventing Abia Chief Justice or any other Judge from swearing-in Uche Ogah as Governor of the state while he remains in office pending the determination of his appeal.

    1. Now the arithmetic is this;.. APC urges Uche Ogah to take down Okezie at all cost with the help of INEC, their brother and they will support him and put him on the seat of Abia state as governor and after few months he will decamp to APC.. Buhari and APC are bunch of evil people. Your plan to put Abia state and its people in pandemonium has failed. Shame on you people!!!!
Now attention to u evil party APC: leave Abia state alone, this government has abandoned us long enough so we don't want any further maltreatment. Enough is enough!!!

  8. Is that seat a personal property?
Why is Ikpeazu spending so much in attracting sympathy?
Can we have a youthful leader for once?
Pls, Ogah could pass for Donald Duke. We need young folks in Government..
Enough said. Let God's will be done in Abia State.

  16. Nigerian Judiciary I'm disarray. A house fovided against itself cannot stand. What is the role of the Chief Justice of the Federation and the National Judiciary Commission in restoring sanity and confidence in the Bench? And what is the NBA doing about its untidy image?
    Jerry Rawlings is watching.

In everything d rule of law must prevail: in so far as Gov Okezie Ikpeazu has filed a notice of Appeal@d Appellate court n also a stay of execution, it is trite law for INEC to issue Ogah with a Return certificate. Ikpeazu remains d Governor of Abia State until d Supreme Court says so. I really don't understand d rationale behind inec's action, it confirms d fact there is a hidden agenda. Under Buhari, the courts n the judicial system is fast collapsing as d govt continues to muzzle n intimidate judges to make atrocious rulings. D same legal system that APC n Buhari benefited from, is what they ve completely put in disarray. Its Unbelievable!!!.....d rumor allover town is that Ogah has reached a deal with d FG n APC to decamp immediately he's sworn in. Only DEATH ll stop Buhari!!!
