Video of man speaking on Pres. Buhari's 1 year in office is trending on twitter (watch)

This video of Mr Chido, a trader in Abuja speaking on President Buhari's one year in office is trending on twitter. In the video, Mr Chido complained about the increase in price of most things in the market like rice and their store levy. According to him, the only thing that has not increased is the gate fee to the public toilet in the market which is still N30.

Mr Chido went further to say that the prices of commodities like Egusi and Ugwu leaves have increased. Chido said people no longer come to buy things in the market. He said the recovery of stolen money is not in anyway affecting the common man because the money is not their own. He said the present government should forge ahead. Watch the video after the cut...

  2. I repeat..
Only daft, ignorant and greedy people don't support PMB govt because they can't survive the reality that's setting in gradually. Nigeria is now a country of work and earn, if you can't exercise some patience for PMB to trash out the 6yrs mess of the past administration, kukuma migrate to another country you think is better. Awon wailers.
    PMB all the way up.

    3. What is this host saying? The average man out there can't afford to feed his family anymore, all in one year of PMBs reign as president, it might be due to what d last adminstration did with our resources true but the poor market man doesn't know it care, how many times have they bothered to go into the markets and talk to people make them understand what's going on? The man is only saying what he can see happening with his eyes, the dollar hmm even banks sell at rep sayi g they buy from d black market imagine that? We pray things improve but until then, are people supposed to die? Encouragement is what they need, not this daft talk of yours, migrate ko migrate ni .

  9. I feel your pain bro but this your talk is so myopic. How can we forgive looters? Most of our woes in this country is tied to corruption and if we can nip it in the bud, many other things will fall into place. The impact of this administration will be felt in the long run. Who says change is easy? If it's that easy, Rome would have been built in a day.
I implore Buhari to do everything within his power to cushion the effect of our suffering. Most of what he said in his speech is the bitter truth and if he can implement these programs he mentioned effectively, we'll weather the storm. I haven't given hope in him yet.

    1. All dis talk about Rome is starting 2 annoy me. One yr in office n no good thing to show. Is Goodluck regime the most corrupt? So OBJ is a saint now. This is not PMB fighting corruption becuz if he is really fighting corruption then u and I know the likes of Ameachi, Tinubu and so many others will face EFCC.

    2. How can he achieve anything? He allows ethnic malice by his stupid approaches to national issues. He is so daft to think that peace can be by force in democracy rather than by doing the right thing. How can you lead a country without peace? One his major problems is that his mind is not civilized enough to be a nationalist there he has no capacity to rule a multiethnic nation like Nigeria. He should resign immediately. I am sure he will be more disastrous to Nigeria if he continues. Archive this message

  14. Linda this is my post on Facebook for people like this, they need to educate themselves on what change in Nigeria really means enough of this illiteracy measures on the word CHANGE. I hope you post it!!

Why do Nigerians always want CHANGE in their pocket and in their stomach, well political CHANGE is not about immediate money in your pockets and food in your stomach, it's all about restructuring the society, infrastructures, economy and all these does not come easy especially with a destroyed, looted and dilapidated economy like Nigeria's, it's like tearing down a dilapidated faeces filled mud house in order to erect a tower, It will take a lot of time and patience to clear the mess, build a solid foundation so the tower do not come crashing down!! CHANGE is also about the mindset of the people, maybe if Nigerians start changing the way they think, reason and act, our politicians will learn to take us more seriously. Nigerians do not think or project the future, all we want is money in our pocket and food on our tables, no one has ever taken time to project where our kids will be in the next 10 years or more, all we want is "give us money and food now" correct me if I am wrong, please, this has been our mindset and trend from generation to generation and that is why we are where we are today because parents in Nigeria do not think of what to do or how to sacrifice for a better society for the future generation, they rather eat and enjoy their children future away, it's all about now, let me enjoy while I am still alive, we let politicians deceive us with camouflaged economy by throwing stipends at us, make it a bit easier for food to be on our various tables while they loot and dry up the reserve and accumulate hardship for the future.

To rebuild is a hard task especially when there are so many accumulated errors, it's easier when you started a project and do a good job than correcting someone else's errors as in the case of Nigeria, it also has to be collective because a lot of things has been messed up already right from the onset and in the last past 16 years it has been from one heap of mess to another.

Only patience, change of mindset, future projection rather than immediate food and money in our pockets like we always want and a collective effort can CHANGE Nigeria now.

Anyway me I don talk my own before some people go remember say I dey abroad dey talk for Naija matter as if I did not live in Nigeria for over 30 years na the less than 2 years wey I comot na him I don become Oyibo so. Well truth is always a problem but God dey.

Until we stand against and refuse these bastards called politicians from thinking they can buy us... I was at a campaign in Ibadan Las year and I looked at people fighting over what they can afford that was being thrown out to them by this politicians...branded airtime (200naira),branded torchlight, branded shirts, branded pens, branded yams etc...and I shook my head for the hardship that would come to those people consequentially...a politician gives u 1k to vote for him...SMH...until we stop this mentality, these bastards will always take us for a ride when they are in office.

If a local government chairman request a budget of, say 1 million pounds for the year,he would make account for the the funds vs projects executed and in case funds was not completely spent and there is left over, it would be carried over into the following year budget

  138. This man is saying the truth but I know some tribalistic people will say because he is Igbo or Biafra he is lying . This govt has made things so difficult for the masses.
APC has not don well at all, my expectation and that of a lot of nigerians from their performance so far is 10%.
Excuses, lies, lack of direction or innovation is just so obvious . I hope they can sit up and get professionals to handle things. Am glad they are fighting security and corruption . But lot of Nigerians are suffering and it should not be so . There is a saying that first impression matters a lot . APC first impression is the worst in nigerian history of governance .

  142. LWKMD.... I feel your pain man.... The situation is critical. It's made worse in places like Imo state where civil servants haven't been paid for 4months now. A lot of families have been turned to beggars. I truly wish PMB can wake up from his fairy sleep, accept reality and take a decision that will affect the average man positively. God help us all

  146. Its not funny anymore in the country, the president should just shut up, no apologies for say that about an elder, imporyers and exporters alike are flat on their businesses, manufacturers re in the quagmire too, the young man speaking in the video is just one of the many, so many that their voices cant be heard, my own personal importing business is dieing and almost, its not been easy to get dollars, even at its availability, I cant import with ober 350 per dollars, so, how do I feed my family, Nevertheless, there is inflation, inflation plus lack in a society amounts to death and increased crime rate, then, we hav a President that cant address this, no more excuse

  153. I have seen some anonymous comments trying to support Buhari and his change mantra that never exists. Mr Anonymous, I guess you still have a job, guess that's why you talking senselessly. if Buhari came came to change things:

    1. why will he send all his children abroad to study in prestigious Universities and flying first class to and fro UK as they wish. The daughter Zahra or wt ever they call her is living lavishly and throwing it on our face through linda ikeji blog.

    2. Why would the National house of assembly still be collecting the most outrageous salaries in the world when the common people cannot even eat and he could not do anything about it.

    3. Why will he Buhari, his vice and so on be flying expensive private jets all around the world when UK Prime that borrows us money flies BA. Go and check how much it takes to maintain each private jet and how many FG is maintaining just for their pleasure at the detriment of poor masses.

    4. This man is clueless, he is not sound, he does not seem to understand what an economy is all about. The Yorubas that voted him has made the mistake of their lives and we all are here to suffer this. I knew he will not do well not because he is Hausa, but cos he is a semi illiterate, who does not have a good grasp of what government is all about.

    5. I just think he came to enrich himself cos i guess his family may have been blaming him of not getting anything after being a military head of state. He has not been contesting for the interest of Nigerians, it is glaring.
