    4. It takes an intelligent person to understand that the hike in fuel price is for the good of Nigerians because in the long run, the price will drop drastically and Nigerians will smile again. The govt has also been able to use this situation to remove the control of the oil sector from the hands of some greedy Nigerians called cabal. But unfortunately, we have a lot of Nigerians that are educated but not intelligent. It's a shame!

    5. Let me ask NLC on simple question; If the federal government increase your salaries as you demand, when the price of fuel eventually drops due to the forces of demand and supply, will you also allow the federal government reduce your salaries too?

    1. From all the negative comments I have read, it is clear that most of the negative comments are coming from my igbo brothers and sisters back home in the east or those in festac.
When are we going to start letting nigerians know we are capable of intelligent reasoning? All we do is criticize un constructively. Its like when early man argued that the surface of the earth was flat when they could clearly see that the moon was round. Many of us igbos are extremely short sighted when it comes to analytic reasoning.
Many nigerians paid well above the pump price to get fuel during each scarcity period and paid hiked transport fares. As long as we continue to have subsidized fuel, scarcity will never stop, majority of us will continue to suffer as we cannot go to work or run our business due to unavailability.
Based on the law of demand and supply, the price of fuel will eventually crash, its a matter of time. A bitter pill we must all chew to cure this lifetime headache. How many of us can point to a subsidy collector that has helped, that has given back, that has built community roads or clinics?
Instead they take the money to UK and co to invest, abeg make ona park well or pack out to pakistan.

  13. Subsidy removal in its real sense is not bad but coming from a government (once opposition) that kicked against it few years ago, i don't support it either. Until accountability becomes the watchword of our leaders, we just won't get things right.

  24. Please let us face reality and stop being misguided by our sentiments. Buhari and his team made Nigerians really suffer for nothing. If they knew they were going to do this all along, why all the stress for 5 months. This government is taking us for a ride, and some citizens are really galloping with them.. It's high time we started using our brains.. Think.. Buhari wasn't voted to remember Johnathan or his capabilities, but to WORK.

  26. people of high power thinking and sound mind understand the positive effect of the deregulation. This is long overdue. Nlc is only being egoistic. They should think of the masses who live on daily income. After 3/4 days of strike. NLC will sell out as always;collect millions from the govt. Oshiomole era and others they all became wealthy from strikes of course oshimole became a governor riding on the popularity of strikes. Labor Strikes are old fashioned in other countries. Labor should meet, discuss and reason not strikes!strikes!! Damn old fashioned. They should ask for increase in wages, better welfare packages. Where were they when states couldn't pay salaries till date?

I have always been an advocate for increase in fuel price now and during Jonathan ' s regime. Nigeria n's are very wasteful. All the cars on our roads need not be on the road. You will see people going to where they can walk with a car. If we all reduce the number of cars on the road, the public transports will increase their frequency and take everybody to and from their destination. Please let us support even further increase while we live within budget.
