Barely 24 hours after two judges of the Kogi state judiciary were kidnapped in the state on Thursday May 19th, the traditional ruler of Elete town in Kogi, Chief Aminu Aku was kidnapped by unknown gunmen on Friday May 20th. According to police report, the third class traditional ruler was returning from a function at Ajaokuta and was just coming down from his car when 5 masked men with arms abducted him. He was subsequently driven away in a vehicle brought by the abductors. His kidnappers have demanded a N10 million ransom from his family members.
