EFCC interrogates 11 INEC staff over N120m bribery allegations

Officials of the EFCC in Gombe state yesterday interrogated 11 Gombe state INEC staff for allegedly collecting N120 million from some politicians to manipulate results in the 2015 general election.

A source at the commission gave the names of the electoral officers as Godwin Maiyaki Gambo (Balanga), Bukar Alone Benisheik (Dukku), Jibril. B. Muhammed (Billiri),

Dunguma Musa Dogona (Funakaye), Mohammed. A. Wanka (Kaltungo), Ishaku Yusuf (Kwami), Suleiman Isawa (Nafada), Babagana Malami (Shongom), and Nuhu Samuel (Yamaltu/Deba). The electoral officers for Akko and Gombe councils, Ahmed Ali Biu, and Mohammed.B.Zannah, reportedly admitted to have collected the bribe from one Yunusa Ali Biri, also a retired electoral officer who acted as Gombe coordinator of bribes for electoral officers in the state.

If he wants to fight corruption he should be impartial about it or better still leave corruption alone

That was how they tried to manoeuvre Bayelsa, Rivers and Akwa-Ibom states election results but failed Woefully! So Anywhere that buhari lost is full of corruption but all the places he won is devoid of corruption.. Which way Nigeria??

  5. Is it only PDP that gave bribe during the last elections?

This EFCC people are not serious at all. They be shouting Dieziani and PDP like say APC is not a party of criminals and looters. Lolol. The 2 major parties of last election gave out bribes in free form, it was too glaring to see.

From sharing of rice at polling booths to cloths, foodstuffs and raw cash during campaigns.

I don't get this administration one bit. Justice can never be one sided. One sided justice is another major form of corruption.

Anyway, this is Nigerian type of justice. It is well with this country.
