The Nigerian Government appointed Chief Executives of six information-related parastals under the Ministry of Information and Culture. The appointments were announced in Abuja on Wednesday, May 25 by the Minister of Information and Culture, Mr Lai Mohammed.

The retired Professor of French and Applied Linguistics shared the news on twitter, writing: "And not one of them is a woman! @FMICNigeria"

A statement by a spokesman for the Minster, Mr Segun Adeyemi, said that Mr Ishaq Modibo Kawu would take over as the Director-General, National Broadcasting Commission while Mr Mansur Liman was made the Director-General of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria.

Mr Yakubu Mohammed was made the Director-General of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), Dr. Garba Abari, Director-General of the National Orientation Agency, Mr Bayo Onanuga, Managing Director of the News Agency of Nigeria and Mr Osita Okechukwu, the Director-General of the Voice of Nigeria.

  1. Hmmmm I share her sentiment. This one thing that gave Jonathan's administration an edge over this one. I yearn to see people like Late Dora Akunyili doing us the women folk proud.
Though @ the end what matters is performance. Look @ Diezani for instance. She had every chance to paint the image of women in governance white but she she do? Smh

    1. Don't we have corrupt male politicians embarassing us daily in nigeria. Advocate if you want to, using one lady's mistake as an excuse is silly.

  3. She needs to broaden her horizon if she really wants to contest and win the next presidential elections. Don't make KOWA a feminist party. Although Buhari has appointed some females in his cabinet, maybe he needs to do more, but why hasn't this lady been speaking on all other negative things going on in the country? She needs to start speaking on more general issues.
