About her experience, Top Prize Winner UcheMischael has this to say “I heard about the Maramma Beauty Competition from a friend. So I had to call in to confirm. But at first I was reluctant to contest, because I have stage fright at times. Then encouragement came from every angle, from my siblings, and friends. And so, I was there. My greatest fright came when I got there, seeing different makeup artists‎. To be honest I was scared, but I did it. Winning feels so great, I am very excited. I can't really explain the way I feel, and I want to say big thank you to Maramma Beauty for giving me the opportunity to experience the joy and feeling that comes with winning. I want to also appreciate them for giving young stars (makeup artists) the opportunity to come out of the dark and show their potentials.”

Other competition winners include Hauwa Mohammed (https://www.instagram.com/d_glamstudio/)andOkoro Esther Karen Egwu(https://www.instagram.com/k.s.b_blends/), who emerged as first and second runners up respectively, and have won gift bags from Flori Roberts.

  12. Good job Ladies, we are proud of you! A few people here are commenting negatively, but you are winners and you can hold your heads high. You contested and WON! A lot of people would not take the risk to expose their talent. By the way, we chose the models to reflect our sense of beauty - natural beauty. We are confident about the works of the winners and know that they will go far in their craft with continued practice. Makeup artistry in Nigeria is exciting and we look forward to continue to be a part of the forward trajectory of the industry, Love Team Maramma!
