The president of the Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju
Pinnick has denied reports making the rounds in the International media
that the Federation was snubbed by former Tottenham and QPR manager
Harry Redknapp.
The NFF is currently in search of a high calibre foreign
coach to take charge of the Super Eagles qualification for Russia 2018. There were reports that Redknapp had agreed to manage Nigeria's
senior team before making a u-turn to work as consultant for an
Australian club.
When asked about the reports by Sporting Life magazine, Amaju Pinnick said 'Totally untrue'.
Redknapp a highly respected coach, has accrued nearly 1500
games as a top flight manager and apart from his new role as the
Mariners consultant, he acts as an advisor to Derby County.
