Anna Wintour apologizes for calling Yeezy clothing line ‘Migrant Chic’

During an interview on the show, 'Late Night With Seth Meyers', Vogue editor in chief, Anna Wintour talked about arriving early for the show at Madison Square Garden, “waiting for the Kardashians to arrive en masse – and Jay-Z. So, eventually, they did turn up and The Life of Pablo concert started and the migrant chic fashion show started and they were both wonderful.” Later, she got lost and was recognized as a basketball mom. The fact that she described Kanye West's fashion line as 'Migrant Chic' caused an outrage on Twitter, a lot of people described her as insensitive to the plight of real migrants. She said to the late night show host, Seth Meyers:
“They put me in this huge VIP section and I was the only person sitting there for about half an hour.
“Eventually the Life Of Pablo concert started, and the 'migrant chic' fashion show started, and itwas wonderful, but after about 45 minutes I did notice that Jay Z had slid away, so I thought I could sneak out after him without anyone noticing.
“But I slid into the basement of Madison Square Garden and I was lost there for half an hour asking various people to let me out. I was really in tears.
After much criticism, she apologized. She said:
“I apologize if my remark was offensive in any way," she said. "The migrant crisis is real, and I didn’t intend to trivialize that issue."
A photograph of a Rwandan refugee camp taken by Paul Lowe inspired Yeezy Season Three. It appeared on the invitation to Kanye's show at New York Fashion Week this winter.

  5. You see how biased blacks can be. Because kanye is black its okay for him to get inspired by refugees. And if someone who is Caucasian calls the things by name she is racist. This the lowest level of reasoning some blacks have reached, yes I am black but I reject to be one of these fools, because I don't play the racism card or reason like I have no five sense!! It's a pity how we blacks aren't developing.
