    1. I will say it over and over ,Nigeria is a country of many nations that can't wait to bè alone. As bad as it may be I think it's time everyone stands alone, you all will agree that ibos don't like hausa and yorubas, Hausa's don't like ibos and yorubas, yorubas don't like ibos and Hausa's . so why are we deceiving ourselves and co existing by fire by force... Right from the on set there was no love in the country like that Prince said in October 1st(movie) Nigeria was 10years too early for independence

Am not tribalistic but some stupid comments here from stupid and uncircumcised Maggots will make you wanna be and defend your own. We need peace in this country, we need to love one another and protect one another. But I keep saying that if we CANNOT abide by that or if we are tired of this marriage then let's divorce!!!!

May the victim souls rest in peace, and the security agencies should be at alert for it not to escalate.

  77. Well said by all. I am sure none of us here know the reason for the fight hence we can't say much. However, ethnic nationality is a good items of culture we should be proud of, whoever and where ever you are from. We should not use it to destroy our selves.
A society where there is justice, rights, community police, social engagement will definitely thrive against all this. above all is the respect of God and the authority.

We MUST avoid and condemn violence.

The act of having humans being slaughtered like goats over a dispute that could have been resolved in civilized manner, it's how you wanna stand "for your own" your saying. 85. It baffles me anytime an issue of serious concern like this is turned upside down and given ethnic colouration. Either Oluwaseun that mentioned Igbo in his comment or the other Igbos replying him with all sorts abuses, both should come off this rubbish and face the real issue. Am a Yoruba man but when ti comes to life, we should dump sentiments and show that we are humans and not animals. To clear the air, what caused the fight was not Agbero nor hate for Hausa or someone working and the other not working. The truth of the matter is that an Hausa bike rider was riding opposite the traffice (usually called one way) and knocked down a pregnant woman. The emotion generated by the scene made the crowd to beat him for taking the wrong route and at the same time knocking down a pregnant woman (you how a typical Okada man can speed when taking one-way). By the time the Hausa Okada rider got up (at Agiliti), he went straight to Mile-12 and invite his Hausa colleagues, and must have probably told them he was beaten just because he was an Hausa man while downplaying his knocking down of a pregnant woman. The stupid colleagues as well, came violently brandishing dagger and cutting themselves showing all that they have knife-proof charms (odechi, okigbe) and boasting that "walahi they will kill as many people as possible today, while sensible people took to their heels. I call his colleagues stupid because they never bother to ask nor investigate why their colleague was beaten. And even if he was wrongly beaten; must they just troop to the streets and begin to set houses, shops and humans ablaze? Though some people believe it was because the DPO at Mile-12 is an Hausa man, this I don't want to believe but you may not rule that out in Nigeria where a man in position will blindly support members of his tribe to perpetrate evil, all in the name of "na my person/people". So, in all of these; which one justifies an Hausa killing and burning people, or a Yoruba abusing Ibo or Ibo abusing Yoruba? And those eventually killed were mere passerby and market customers! Imagine that? What needed to be done or said as comment when issues of this magnitude comes up is not to be talking about tribes but the real issues or the actors. Please let us show that we are civilised people and not barbarians. Seriki Hausa in Mile-12 or Agiliti should warn his people, Market leader should advise people on how to handle aggression and not just beat people up, that is why vehicle drivers don't wait to pick up their victims because the next thing is to beat up the driver out of anger forgetting that nobody intends to kill with his vehicle, even when they are reckless in driving. All these are issues I expect us to be addressing instead of bickering and hurling insults thereby forgetting the main thing we are talking about here - the life of HUMAN BEINGS. Thank you.

  97. Ègbon oluwaseun is it the IBO's that are killing ur brothers? If u want to become an ibo boy, come I will help you rather than insulting ur family. On the other hand, I think you have a problem of attention deficit disorder with hyperactivity.

  99. Anyone who puts colour, tribe, religion, or whatever to crime against humanity is a criminal. Your allegiance should be to peace and not some sect. It's so myopic how we forget the human race and we talk sect. I'm from a Yoruba region but most of my closest friends are from Edo...how would I support Yoruba's over Edos? For these guys to have been very close friends, there must have been some value exchange that made me call them very close friends. There re amazing human guys, and I can say this because I lived there for about a year. People, humans are humans, some are good, and some are bad. Simple! Call a bad man, bad. Stop generalising like a blind man.
