Actress Ibinabo Fiberesima's bail application denied

Looks like the actress and mother of three will really spend years in prison over a car accident in 2005 that took a man's life. Her bail application suffered a setback yesterday Thursday March 17th at the court of Appeal in Lagos after the judges ruled that her application was incompetent.

The three man-panel led by Justice U.I Ndukwe-Anyanwu, said that the application was not properly filed as her counsel failed to attach copies of the judgment that was delivered by the court which affirmed the five years jail sentence imposed on her.

The court adjourned hearing for her bail application to April 7th when copies of the March 11th‎ judgement would have been included. She was afterward sent back to prison.

Ibinabo has approached the Supreme Court to set aside the March 11th verdict of the Lagos State Court of Appeal which validated the 5 year jail term handed down to her by the state's High court over the 2005 accident in which her car killed one Dr Giwa.

      Do you also suck blood?

  20. Karma is a Damn bitch! She snatched Agatha Amatas hubby, used him got a daughter from the fling and dumped d clueless guy when she was done... all the while Agatha kept her cool, raising their three kids alone, chasing her tv show consistently andd remained drama free! She never cursed or interfered in their love nti ike! She was GEJS pet girl! She was Dame paties sacred fellow river rine woman. She calls d shots in Aso rock on behalf of the actors! She always lead a harem of actors to pledge support to GEJS looting Govt! She was well rewarded! With her connection she grabbed d actors guild presidency from Clarion then Emeka ike.... Anty patie mandated d judges to favour her! So they did! She flaunted her power and connection, with the help of DANIEL WILSON whose care he killed d doctor with, who is also close to Aunty patie they killed this case all thru GEJS reign. Its was justice denied for the doctors widow and pain for the fatherless children... it was a quest for closure for the doctors family... who trained their son in school to study medicine for 7years! He married, had children, taking good care of them, hes a renowned Doctor in Lagos state hence they took up d case on behalf of the heartbroken family! Yet GeJ fought d case to a still, Anty patie and Daniel Wilson pulled their weight. Howbeit she was having a fling with Daniel then, drunk drove his car, jumped covet and killed the doctor who was on the opposite lane oblivion of what was coming from his opposite lane recklessly! She granted interviiews, went for fashion shows, travelled the worldd, romanced abuja power, Aso rock darling, fat bank account, clubbed, clubbed and clubbed. She had high powered connections, she partied, her kids attended the best schools, her mom was Elizabethan! Glowing in her palatial home off rumuola in ph! Ibinabos career personality was of essence to her.....in all these the doctors widow catered for her children alone and waited patiently for judgement over d death of the love of her life! Ibinabo never reached out to them, nor even fought for scholarship for d kids with her Aso rock influence....She dated, married and flamboyant wedding, her first ever! She appeared on the cover of Genevieve Mag Dec 2014 issue and talked about her wedding, career on being like Angelina Jolie since she had 3 kids, hubby 3kids,2adopted and looking forward to giving birth to more! She never mentioned about the infamous accident in d whole of the interview.. Today GeJ is Gone! Apc is here! Lagos state has come back 10yrs after to seek justice and closure for this family! It's about time! Justice can be delayed but can't be denied! Don't cry IB! It's not uhuru yet! I'll come pay u a visit in kirikiri. Karma have been doing press up.... its now jogging!! In a short while it will lead you to the prison gate and there you'll remain for 5years!

  26. Greetings! Many thanks for the good work you do. Since your blog is highly rated, it's important that you take every necessary step to use appropriate language for every report that relates to a profession or technical issues. This will guarantee confidence in your information and earn more respect for your blog. In this report, you talked about a Lagos Court of Appeal. There is no such court. There is a Lagos High Court and a Court of Appeal which is a Federal Court that sits on appeal over judgments of high courts. You also talked about validation of court judgment. That is not the correct language. Judgments of a lower court is affirmed or upheld by a court higher in hierarchy. All the best for keeping us updated. Barr. Emeka Nnubia.

Its so sad!!! A serving medical practitioner, a departmental head in a state owned hospital is killed and the murderer walks the streets freely without remorse. Many times i wonder what the life of a common man is worth in this country. Sincerely madam Ibinabo, i believe the path of honor is to quietly go serve your term. its just 5 years which in no way measure up to the catastrophe you have brought on the Giwa family and the medical field in Nigeria. Annoyingly, over the years you have lived your life like all is well, pursued mundane pleasures endlessly, was fighting tooth and nail for AGN presidency and seen in social circles continually. please go to jail and shed no crocodile tears any farther, it is the law's long arms grabbing you in the jugular. Never mind the good God that has taken care of DR. Giwa's children and is still taking care of them will take care of your children too.

  104. I am amazed at the level og ignorance of those asking the doctor's family to forgive her. This is not a case of the family against her but rather a case of the state (government)- who is meant to protect lives of its citizenry- against a woman who carelessly ended the life of another person.

Justice should take it's course and sentiment should not be allowed to cloud anybody's judgement. The soul that sinneth, it shall die. If you are considering her children, what about the doctor's own? they don't have the right to have a dad? Let there justice and the rich and famous should not have the privilege of living above the law.

  106. Nobody is greater than the law and nobody can outrun heavenly justice. The tears of a widow and fatherless children were heard. The babalawos can only buy you a while, as the scripture says, for a little time. Stories like this remind us that God is real and he is fighting for the little ppl everyday. May those suffering injustice cry out to God,and may their faith in Him be sustained. May they live to see their justice. None is above God so let us live our lives in humility always.

  110. My rily tired makin comments on Ibinabo's case! Anyone can make mistakes but it's depends on our response to it. Firstly she was driving drunk which can also attracts punishment, secondly after the accident she removed the vehicle plates number nd ran away. Thirdly she refused to apologize to the family of the victim. She was romancing the previous Govt just to avoid doing the right thing nd feeling very proud. She should thank her stars that it's just 5yrs she is given. But that career she was boasting about is decayed now. She lacks wisdom and not a Godly person.

  111. The mistake she made ,was that she never bothered to see the family of the Doctor since the incident

At the end of the day, there are no victors...all are loosers.A wife has been widowed, children fatherless and even the accused is about to loose the warmth of her kids, it is sad! But this judgement brings some sense of comfort and perhaps relief to the late Dr Giwa Suraj Family. They were treated so badly. so my submission is that Ms ibinabo fiberesima should see her current travail as an opportunity to re-evaluate herself and hopefully lead a more humble life. I wish the Giwaj Suraj family God's comfort and also to Ibinabo, strength.

  113. I don't understand why all the "eyah". She commited a multitude of crines within a major crime, she fled the scene of a crime, she intensionally tried to cover up a crime, she perverted the course of justice, fled the country and left a family distraught. What about them? And before you say "eyah" to her been punished, please think of the family of the man (the real victim), his wife and kids who are also victims....don't they get "eyah" too?...no one is above the law, actor o, singer o, or politician. Ok if she were a bread seller would you say "eyah"? If she was a "mama put" woman would u say "eyah"?. Quite frankly shes lucky to get 5years. She committed a crime, she must do the time full stop, case closed!
