Photos: Afe Babalola University students go on rampage

Students of Afe Babalola University (ABUAD) in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, went on a violent protest yesterday night into this morning, destroying cars and other school properties. The cause of the protest is not yet known, but some students alleged that men who covered their faces with bandannas, stormed a female hostel while some students claimed a policeman mistakenly shot and injured a student, leading to the protest. The school is yet to publicly comment on the matter. More when you continue...

    I got this news last night but since I dunno how to do this amebo thing I just said a prayer for for those kids. It's unfortunate that u can't get any sort of counter-force to help students in such terrible times. Private university my ass!!!

    A group of boys were in a physical confrontation, during this process the security agencies came to interfere but rather than calm the situation an Afe babalola university policeman shot a student which led both opposing groups to go after the policeman and that's how the riot started. The university is trying to cover up what they did rather they are blaming innocent students who clearly have nothing to do with this.
