Bride treks to her wedding venue due to Lagos marathon vehicle restriction

This photo of a bride walking to her wedding was shared on Twitter today. The bride had to walk to the venue of her wedding due to the restriction placed on vehicular movement in Lagos today because of the Lagos marathon.

  26. This is not the way to start out in Matrimony, but whose fault is it? Nobody's. I can imagine how sweaty she will be after trekking under the sun. Perhaps, if they had been aware, she would have asked for a room at the church were she will be wedded so she can get dressed and prepared for her wedding at the church site. I guess the groom will do the same too. Government Laws......

  57. I so much pity her. She suld have reported her case n gotten permission to move. More so I don't thing anyone in there right senses would have stopped them cos they must have chosen d date b4 d marathon date. Think the govt need to compensate them n make exemption to cases like this or emergencies. Like Am not going to say home if I need to get to d hospital. D best d govt Culd do or ask of their officials is 4 one of them to escort d person to where ever if they a not convinced.
