Death Trap! PHCN pole lands on two moving Keke Marwa (photos)

This happened on Oriyomi street in Ikeja this morning. The two Keke Marwa and other Kekes were moving along this street when the wooden electrical pole landed on two of them. Thankfully, no one was injured but it could have been worse. I think it's time PHCN takes a nationwide inspection of all the existing wooden poles for safety checks. See more LIB exclusive photos after the cut...

    1. This isn't an issue of thank God they weren't injured, thank God no one die as a result of the power. Same way am having wooden poles around where I resides, which are about to fall down any time any moment which will be very risky.

  20. They ought to have a planned preventive maintenance like once in three months on all the electric poles around every district to avoid this from reoccurring.

WHAT IS NEEDED IS FOR THE SENATE TO CREATE A REGULATION FOR HOW LONG POLES SHOULD BE ACTIVE AND HOW OFTEN THEY SHOULD BE INSPECTED. AND SANCTION THE PHCN IF THEY DEFAULT. SENATORS MUST STOP DISCUSSING RUBBISH IN THOSE MEETINGS
