Photos: David Mark returns to his state to a rousing welcome from supporters

Senator David Mark returned to his country home, Otukpo, Benue State on Thursday, December 10, the first since his election was nullified by the Court of Appeal in Makurdi. He was accompanied by Members of the National Assembly from Benue and other states. Addressing the mammoth crowd who trooped out enmasse to welcome him, the former Senate President urged them to remain calm in spite of the 'provocative' judgement of the Appeal Court.


"Your turn out today shows that the election shall be won and lost by Zone C people. Though the Court of Appeal has made its pronouncement; but I'm happy the Judges shall not take part in the voting process. This is not a PDP election; it's an Idoma election" Mark said. "This is indeed a trying period for us as a people! I encourage you to be strong and take it in your own hands; if not, we shall be forgotten in the map of Nigeria", he added.

    Rousing welcome?paid poor people is more like it.The only thing this man did in otukpo was to marry one sister and impregnate the other causing permanent family damage.we have only one ambulance,no water,bad roads and a heavy migration of our people to other towns yet we had not just a senator but a senate president in our midst.He comes to otukpo only during elections,empowers jobless youths with money,weapons and drugs and woe to anyone who tries to vote for anyone else.so basically we don't bother.Gods wrath upon you will be public.just watch

    Go and rest Mr Mark, ur home town is nothing to write home about, no good roads, no job for the youth, poor educational system, etc. He calls them his people now because he is facing trial, those people with him are just struggling to get money to feed probably for that day alone, wise up people and see that he is playing politricks with your brain.

    Linda truth be told this fraudulent man called D MARK has NO political relevance /goodwill in Idoma land.Like Bonario Nags who served in Otukpo attested ,Otukpo town was better developed in the 60,s .The place is now an eyesore .The road to the Ochidomas Palace where he went prostrate and play to the gallery yesterday is NOT MOTORABLE.All he did as Annon 11.pm posted was empower cultists(As u can see from the motorcade) to do hs bidding and dis-empower the young and upwardly mobile men.It was all about him and hs immediate family.They stole soo much money.The man,s insatiable greed knows no bounds.He is a VERY VERY WICKED MAN..A time will come, soon when they will sneak into town(OTUKPO) at NIGHT and SNEAK out b4 day light .I ve repeatedly said they MARKS might soon ve to leave OTUKPO ..We have waited 16 years for this day.He has bn notin to us but a DISASTER..

    Remember the post/pictures about the toilet in the Otukpo general hospital in lindas blog early this year,,marks son was born there.In hs entire 16yrs in the senate ,he did notin about health care in Otukpo .Hs son in law, a medical doctor was 2 term chairman of otukpo local govt.A few months into hs stewardship as chairman,he started and completed hs mansion in GRA otukpo .Need i say more
