NBA player, Iman Shumpert delivers his & Teyana Taylor's baby girl in bathroom

Teyana Taylor welcomed her daughter on Wednesday Dec. 16th, with the help of NBA player fiance Iman Shumpert. The Cleveland Cavaliers star sprang into action and delivered their baby girl in their bathroom after Teyana unexpectedly went into labor a month before her due date and the basketball star tied off the baby's umbilical cord with a pair of headphones.


Songwriter Teyana shared a photo of their new baby girl, who they named Iman Tayla Shumpert Jr, with a sweet message on Instagram. She wrote:

    Am so blessed and touched by this story. It brungs tears to my eyes.It goes to show that exposure, information,formal/informal education is important with word of mouth on people's experiences about child birth & delivery.Please, i feel that all pregnant mothers who are approaching their EDD should not be left alone cos its a critical period. Had it been Mr. Imam was not around before the ambulance came,what would have become the faith of mother & child? A food for thought to traveling fathers & baby papas... Chika.O
