FG cancels oil, gas pre-shipment tender

In a bid to sanitize the oil and gas sector, the Federal government has ordered the immediate cancellation of the tendering process for the engagement of pre-shipment inspection and monitoring agents for oil and gas. A statement from the office of the Minister of Finance Kemi Adeosun says that the decision was taken following the receipt of numerous complaints and a petition regarding alleged irregularities in the process.

“The sheer volume of complaints and the wide range of sources they emanated from had raised a sufficient level of concern around the process to warrant a full cancellation rather than a suspension. This administration stands for transparency and accountability and it is therefore important that all procurement and tendering exercises must be undertaken in accordance with best practices.”the statement read
President Buhari had in June, ordered the finance ministry under the former permanent secretary, Anastasia Nwaobia, to commence the process of engaging pre-shipment inspection and monitoring agents. Upon the approval of the Bureau of Public Procurement, a selective tendering process was initiated under which 65 companies were selected and invited to bid.

    1. It is not only Buhari. It includes you and i as well to work together and make Nigeria a better place. We need to change our attitude as individuals. We need to be responsible and disciplined as individuals. We need to have integrity. We need to change as individuals. We should stop waiting for Buhari to do everything. We too have our own parts to play in terms of change.

  18. I was having an argument with a friend over this just yesterday! I personally am in concordance with this cancellation process. Suspension wouldn't have been the best option at all. Even though this administration seems to be dragging along the shores which tends to be having adverse some sought of effects on the masses and economy generally, a feeling deep down inside of me keeps assuring me that Buhari and his followers know exactly what they are doing. Hopefully before this tenure reaches halfway, the benefits must have started gaining higher grounds.

THANK YOU ! THANK YOU! THANK YOU LINDA!
AS I DON GET ALERT GOD WIN!
LINDA THE DAUGHTER OF TITLED MAZI IKEJI WILL KEEP WINNING ALL THE DAYS OF HER LIFE!

When I got on LIB that morning, I had absolutely no iota of thought in mind on reading any title concerning the end of the year LIB Giveaways, not to mention expecting my name to pop up on the list of the extremely fortunate winner's who of-course didn't deserve it more than the majority of us that have formed the habit of commenting here by minutes but however by some kind of divine direction were picked.
Honestly when I saw that, the first natural reaction or stimuli my body sent me was that of a blurry vision. I had thought I was going into a swooning fit or passing out so I repelled the feeling with a very loud shout (not of joy yet but so as to make sure I wasn't falling into some kind of trance) clearly neglecting the rules of the office to the consternation of my colleagues who after learning what had transpired after they came rushing towards me were mostly not surprised like I was. For their mind, dem think say me I deserve am oh! After they had settled down and I having taking several tens of glances on my screen reading through the names for an umpteenth time, I confirmed the reality. My colleagues were not surprised as they knew that nothing ever gets in my way when it comes to LIB.

LINDA YOU'VE BEEN AN INSPIRATION TO OUR GENERATION
And the way I see it, YOU WILL REMAIN SO FOR A VERY LONG TIME TO COME
I have never been addicted to anything the way I am to LIB.
May God keep blessing you and your family for us and may all you touch automatically turn into GOLD!
    YOU ARE A RARE GEM!

THANK YOU ! THANK YOU! THANK YOU LINDA!
