    1. Exactly, she thinks we will forget so soon, she is the reason why many of them are there. As far as I am concerned, she is a saboteur. She was hoping for a minister, but Buhari disappointed her, now she is trying to turn back the hands of time, but it's impossible. Shame on her.

  18. Ma'am in as much i support your last tweet and yes the Senate needs to be check constantly. In-case some of us don't get this, they didn't say u shouldn't air your comment or restrict social media. What are they are saying some of us needs to be constructive when airing your take and also to stop fake news by bloggers. You cannot spread unverified news filled with lies and rumor about other people and expect to walk free.. Also our culture does not permit youngster to insult and curse Elderly folks that are older than their pathetic parent all in the name of Freedom of speech. It shouldn't be abused. Why is some bloggers so worried?? are they scared of going to jail? or scared of losing their traffic due to running out news when they cannot post rumors and lies anymore? or scared of paying 2 - 4million naira every now and then when they get picked up which is a bad for the business???

    4. Bia are you dense?? Dnt you know the reality of politics in nigeria. This bill will be misused by powerful politicians to gag the masses. Even if you speak up "constructively" or "air your take" when something is not right, It doesnt matter if what you say might be true, so far you dnt have evidence or a powerful politican feels like it.... you can go to jail..

Also, the politicians can fully manipulate mainstream media to tell the public the info they want them to hear. Since they have successfully controlled information dissemination, we will be forced swallow whatever they tell us hook, line and sinker cos that is the only info we have access to. If you have any inkling of politics and corruption of power in naija, you wnt blab that trash you are spewing.

Social media has its faults...yes...but the answer is not to criminalize people airing their views. If they do their job,no1 will insult them. By the way, senate seat is not their birthright. They should get out of that seat if it's too hot for them.

  20. These senators are obviously unconscious of their roles and responsibilities as far as bringing good governance to the people, they have not come out with death penalty law for corruption and corrupt government official instead they are promoting bill that will tame people from exposing their corrupt acts. Freedom of speech and after speech....

  24. Mr 47 you are so contrived and daft, am sure you are one of these retarded geriatrics(or the1r offspring) holding this country under siege. After saying our culture does not permit youngster to insult their elders you go on to call the older parents of the same youngsters 'pathetic', yours is the case of a foolish fool. Do you know what the phrase 'freedom of speech and expression' means? It means if I freely chose or not to accuse a 'public servant of a deviation, he can choose to freely not respond or defend himself, it is a tool that strengthens an monitors governance (transparency and accountability) all over the world you dimwit. Do you know what it means for government to take that power away from her citizens? Your small brain never allows your kith see the bigger picture in life, your focus now is Linda Ikeji and the money she makes from blogging, foolish fool, your kind should never be able to procreate, buffoon! 32. Don't mind this our NASS members who seem not to be focusing on important national issues. Unemployment is there, bad roads, the economy still unstable, terrorism etc. Yet out of all these pressing issues, they still have time to be discussing social media. A platform that has helped some of them get into power. This is a plot to truncate freedom of information, to put Nigerians into darkness of political issues that affects our lives as citizens of this nation.
