This happened at Awolowo Way Ikoyi this morning. Some DSS officials forcefully arrested fuel black market sellers on the road and even beat up one of them that refused to be arrested. An eyewitness said one of the dealers was beaten badly and they tore his clothes.

ReplyDeleteWhy are these people torturing helpless people trying to meet up with their responsibilities with the meager sales they make from selling fuel on Black market while they people behind the lack of the products are driving around boldly in their expensive Jeeps like Kilode. Our society is so unjust!
ReplyDeleteWhat rubbish are you talking about. This touts that cause problems at the petrol stations making it even harder to get fuel. You must be one of the touts.

End time fuel sellers
ReplyDeleteGood...
ReplyDeleteGo arrest the marketers, not road side sellers looking for dailies food.
ReplyDeleteThey should carry out same operation in kano it's like black market is legalised here
ReplyDeleteHmmm
ReplyDeleteArrest them for what reason?
ReplyDeleteDunno if dis is bad or gud.......bad cos it's risk filled, kinda gud cos dey jst Nigerians trying to mk ends meet.
ReplyDeleteI am so much in support of this, the black marketers most times work hand in hard with petroleum marketers and filling stations attendants. Sometimes you get to the filling stations and they tell you they dont have fuel that what they have is meant for their staffs... and you see them selling for people in drums...for this country? E dey happen.
ReplyDeleteMost of the filling stations have fuel but would tell you they dont just because they want to make extra money from it, imagine buying in a gallon and you pay as much as N100 per gallon. this is bad... so bad. PMB is working and may God bless him and his cabinet.

I hope they will not steal the seized fuel themselves, thieves. Why won't they sell black market since the poor can not buy fuel from the filling station.
ReplyDeleteIs dat a crime too? Is dere scarcity den?
ReplyDeleteRe they the only one?many of them but the real culprits re the filling stations
ReplyDeleteTor...oya...na military regime we dey o..

ReplyDeleteautocracy, the new order of the day under buhari... i'm not saying those sellers shouldn't be arrested, but being beaten is sure barbaric. Only buhari and his supporter would subscribe to such treatments..

ReplyDeleteIs that the solution to fuel crisis.? Or still on clueless adventure
ReplyDeletethat should not be the way out please...tackle the filling stations selling it to them first. Go to Filling stations where they are selling above the N87 also please.
ReplyDelete
ReplyDelete>>> i don't think they were well beaten....they are part of the problem the petroleum downstream sector is facing.....
These are not the people they should be going after, they should b going after those filling stations that hoard the product. Soon DSS will be controlling traffic on our major ways

ReplyDeleteWhen there is no fuel?! They want to shut down the masses only other choice! #Change
ReplyDeleteThese people are vulnerable people and they need money for christmas so you cant blame them for selling black market
ReplyDeleteLinda, this your report is wrong. At least the KAI truck is very visible. You're too lazy nowadays.
ReplyDeleteThis is the Best Move against tackling this Ugly fuel Scarcity Phenomenon in Nigeria.
ReplyDeleteThis road-side fuel hawker work is pari passu with oil marketers.
Or how else do you explain the situation where there's no fuel in a gas station yet right in front of this same gas stations you see yaro-men hanging around with their 'jeri-cans' filled with fuel
They should stop maltreating innocent citizens for looking for a way to make a living.why the main thieves drive in their luxurious cars they are about going to attack innocent individuals.
