The incontrovertible fact is Davido and his family attempted to travel abroad with the baby without the Mum's consent. That is wrong and that is child abduction. It does not matter who the mother is or what she has done, she carried the pregnancy for nine months and thus she should have a say on her baby. I mean, what if he takes the baby to the US or another country and does not bring her back, what will be the fate of the mother who apparently may require a visa to visit some countries? A woman has rights over her own child. If Davido thinks a lady who he can share his affection with, have sex with without protection, and the lady is now the mother of his child, is not worthy to be his wife, then he is foolish and that is an insult to his own daughter who has the mum's blood in her veins. ReplyDeleteThis is very sad. It is obvious that both the Momodus and Davido have polished whatever story they are presenting to the public. Only God knows the truth. The incontrovertible fact is Davido and his family attempted to travel abroad with the baby without the Mum's consent. That is wrong and that is child abduction. It does not matter who the mother is or what she has done, she carried the pregnancy for nine months and thus she should have a say on her baby. I mean, what if he takes the baby to the US or another country and does not bring her back, what will be the fate of the mother who apparently may require a visa to visit some countries? A woman has rights over her own child. If Davido thinks a lady who he can share his affection with, have sex with without protection, and the lady is now the mother of his child, is not worthy to be his wife, then he is foolish and that is an insult to his own daughter who has the mum's blood in her veins. The bottom line is we should be careful of what we do and be more responsible with our actions. I feel for the innocent child as this is not the ideal way to raise a baby. May God grant their families peace in the new year.

It seems most people on this thread are either ignorant or thrive on mere sentiments. Regardless of the personalities involved, it is criminal to attempt to smuggle a child outside the country without the consent of the parents. It amounts to child trafficking and the parties involved should be penalized. Davido and his family are going about it the wrong way, they ought to make peace with the mother before attempting to get the child out of the country. Dele Momodu is only playing the role of a concerned uncle by giving the issue the publicity it deserves.

I am not surprised by dele's rant on Instagram with his dramatic headlines that's what he does for a living and I'm not to sure about him trying to live off Davido because he his well established himself. As for Davido and her baby mama that is the story of one night stand gone wrong or probably several nights self. Davido can claim now that her physical attributes are diminished or asymmetric whatever grammar he used lol but you were attracted enough to have sex.Anyways the deed has been done which led to the baby. I read the petition and yes thats the best option , they take it to court and each party better have damn good evidence to back up their claim. If truly the child had urine test done and tested positive for MJ in her system and the mother also having history of engaging in such act , Don't know how she is going to pull that win in court. But then again there is other side of possible abduction , if davido can prove why the child being around the mother is harmful and decided to keep the child away. But then again they should have takin this case to the court before all this unfolded. I ended up adding my two cent's lol. *50cent's baby mama.

Most commenters are either kids or they just lack analytical thinking. Be constructive in your comments for once. Who is Davido to try to smuggle out a 5 months old baby without the mother. That is practical injustice. Dele being the uncle would be devastating as well and as such decided to go public to further blow up the issue, I don't blame though I think he should have acted his class. Stop the trash about 23years being a kid. 18yrs is an adult and is capable of making national decisions such as voting and being voted for. That age stunt is very myopic.

Dele Momodu did the right thing as Sophie's uncle and Davido should pls shut up, if he doesn't want to marry her then he should keep taking care of the baby. The baby has been born and an amicable way should be found to settle this. In Yoruba we say, "obirin to bimo funi ti kuro laale eni" meanining a woman that has a child for a man is more than a concubine. How can you abduct a 7month old? Women put yourself in the woman's shoes and I don't believe in the Marijuana story.
