“As I stated recently, a good number of people who abused their positions are voluntarily returning the illicit funds. I have heard it said that we should disclose the names of the people, and the amount returned. Yes, in due course, the Central Bank of Nigeria will make information available to the public on the surrendered funds, but I must remark that it is yet early days, and any disclosure now may jeopardize the possibility of bigger recoveries. But we owe Nigerians adequate information, and it shall come in due course. It is part of the collective effort to change our land from the bastion of corruption it currently is, to a place of probity and transparency.”he said

Story for ur hausa gods.is this what u said when campaigning?the records are there so why do u need them to return the loot and escape punishment.I guess we can scratch "buhari the punisher" from ur resume.so now its all about returning loot peacefully.they returned loot to cbn and finance minister came to deny it self after u said it.u guys are joking. So this must mean since others won't come out cause they don't want to be named this must mean that u have struck a deal not to name anyone right???so we will never get names.and later u will start pointing to people who will come out and deny it.Just admit the truth u aboki.u thought presidency was easy and ran ur mouth.now u know the difference between democracy and military ghosts are now returning money.lol.....why should money loving politicians return money when u are yet to even jail one person..get out sir,FAST!!!!! ............linda if u like don't post this one too.that's how u run ur blog.nothing in this country is done right.
ReplyDeleteYou see? And some idiots on this blog were saying that Buhari was lying about returning looted funds. Abeg this man knows what he is doing and he is making a whole lot of sense. How can he disclose the names now when he still has a lot to collect from looters? What a brilliant idea! This is called military intelligence.
ReplyDeleteStupid comment
DeleteWat is all dese back & forth talk of exposing & not them, y not just shut up & do Watever u wanna do after u hv recovered d so called loots
DeleteI have a strong feeling that Deziani is among those that have returned looted funds because the way Deziani pursue Buhari dey look for am up and down after they declared him winner was alarming.
ReplyDeletePeople are actually returning loots?lol..the fear is too real

ReplyDeleteWe dnt need to know dem, let dem just return d loots
ReplyDeleteNow that you have said the names will be released in due course, haven't you jeopardize their chances of coming out with d stolen money still? Cause i don't see any difference btw ur keeping mute abt their info so as to not preventing them from coming out n then saying u will give their info in due course.so oga it makes no sense, reveal them now or forever hold your peace!

ReplyDeleteWell talk.
ReplyDeleteLinda can you please send this to Dear mr president that we are happy to hear that our lost funds are found through CBN this is not only what we wanted, we also want to know how much are being recovered and how it were spent.
ReplyDeleteRecovering funds is not important but how does the recovery funds being used? This is transparency as Mr President said.
More over I shall be pleased if government could let some of these people being tired in the court to serve as deterrent to others as I can tell the public that no one among the present members of the ruling party are innocent.
Next time get someone with a good grasp of the English language to help you write your comment.

Easy because no body knows tomorrow, fighting corruption is good but do not use it fight in order to revenge.
Dear favour, please dig deeper and I have a truckload of shovel for you to keep digging while change continues to happen, I can assure you, u will dig into old age and not find a thing against this buhari,I thank Jesus for sending us this man.

Ride on Sir, The intelligent knows you're doing a good job. Only the brainless and fools will complain at this early stage
ReplyDeleteYou're right sir. Let the looters with remorse return the looted funds first, then unleash the bloodhounds on the thieves
ReplyDelete...REALLY???
ReplyDeleteHmmm ok good, we are waiting to see their names.
ReplyDeleteHow much are they returning, little amount of the money from d huge amount money they stole, just to b free from ur witch hunting wickedness(if is true)...Funny all APC members are looters 2...we know that u pple will loot Nigeria to make APC richer then PDP n the Richest in west Africa,we know all una plan..Heard ur son is now Flexing big time in Abuja...all in all notting last 4 ever..
ReplyDeleteIt takes a little above common sense to know Buhari is an island trying to solve the problems of th country, u guys should please borrow some sense to assist this man in this fight against corruption either against PDP people or his own apc guys instead of abusing and insulting him, is it ever possible to win an election all by itself on the platform of nobody, please you people should think we'll before turning this Linda blog into Buhari haters blog
DeleteI don't get it, how can the revelation of names jeopardize further recoveries? That, to me, is not feasible. I'll rather say that the opposite will be the case when names are revealed. Others will be encouraged by the fact that known and influential individuals have started returning their loots and will do same. This postulation is very simple and logical. Buhari may be up to no good with this kind of illogical excuse.
ReplyDeleteNow that's a good reasoning...... we still watching u sir.... God bless my country with good leaders
ReplyDeleteWe af heard!
ReplyDeleteHMMMM I LIKE HIS WAY THOU
ReplyDeleteAUNTY LINDA....
I believe you my good friend and president
ReplyDeletecan u please explain to us why our long-carefully composed comments go missing at times????
ReplyDeleteCBN should publish those names abeg,we need to know these people and the amount returned. Is he scared of the big thieves returning theirs, I thought nobody was above the law. No matter how BIG the cow is,Our money must be returned.

ReplyDeleteNo bi today, you have always made comments like a brainwashed individual.
DeleteYou will not disclose the info now but later?
ReplyDeleteDon't you think that your statement has already jeopardised the possibilities of bigger recovery already?
bros then u are hiding something and it would not stop if we cant shame them in church or during prayers. keep it to ur self i only hope u guys will not reloot it as we have seen with Abacha loot.
ReplyDeleteBloody liars
ReplyDeleteShut down social media and see.
You think people do not know how bypass blocked contents.
Aka people in China and North Korea, they will teach you better.

It would be nice to know their names, but if they fear prosecution and are willing to return most of the funds, keep their names. Let us just pray the Buhari govt is accountable about the returned funds

ReplyDeleteOk
ReplyDeletebaba go slow.....he should bring them to justice
ReplyDeleteAkuko na nti!... Onye mmooo.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Buhari here. Please let them finish receiving all the stolen wealth before exposure.
ReplyDeleteCause ur name it in there too buhahaha*
ReplyDeleteSo now you have said the CBN will reveal them in due course, will that encourage the remaining to return! HMMMM
ReplyDeletepls will need the names no time
ReplyDeleteMtchewwww till tomoro Nigerian youths will not have sense. Bunch of gullible believers
ReplyDeleteAssume a fat cat looted about 12bn dollars from the public treasury, who determines how much of that loot is to be returned to the CBN? Is it the corruption czar or the thief that makes sych determination? Is the amount based on a sliding scale or what? Why is all of this process in secret and not open to public scrutiny esp since it is our common patrimony that has been violated? Exposing the names and actual amounts of recovered loot will serve as an indicator of the good work PMB is doing, as well as, uncover many more illicit wealth in the land and thereby, its recovery. #goodcausetospeakup
